Who thinks bodog's tournament schedule is very poor compared to most other poker rooms, alot of tourneys during UK peak hours are Satellites, with like one cash tournament an hour, also I find that the cash tournaments that they do offer hardley ever have a low buy-in.

Also almost all GTD's have a buy-in of at least $10, this is bad because there is no room for low stakes players playing by their bankroll to play in decent GTD MTT's here..

When I play online poker, I wont risk more than 2% of my bankroll on an MTT, so in order to play MTT's on Bodog for me, I would at least have to have $500 to play $10 MTTs, which is a lot....

Anyone else think so?

I agree with you on that one. Bodog is weird. PS and tilt have a much better setup. But theres something about bodog that keeps bringing me back.

It depends on your point of view, James.

I like Bodog and play their MTTs quite often, but then I do have a larger bankroll and am happy playing games at $10 to $20 buyin. The guaranteed tournaments are good value, because they often have an overlay.

The satellites on Bodog are excellent because they pay in Tournament Dollars which can be used to enter any tournament, not just the one specified. This level of flexibility is excellent from the player`s point of view. It is a pity more sites don`t use this approach.

If your bankroll is light, try building it in the SNGs. They are quite soft at Bodog.

Well I am currently looking for a new poker room to play at for 2009, and I am in between two minds of UB or Bodog, I like UB because the tournaments etc, but I hate the software, I like Bodog for the software but I hate the tournaments on offer...

If bodog had a more varied tournament schedule that catered for all stakes, all countries... I think their player base would increase dramatically, but at the moment they arn't really offering much.

Well I can afford to put a $200 BR on Bodog, which will allow me (with bankroll rules) to play:

5c/10c Ring
Max $6.60 SnG
Max $5.00 MTSnG
Max $4.00 MTT

Yes I checked out carbon, I like it BUT, there isnt really much money to be made there... I am a tournament player, and I know the wait will be long for SnG's etc, also I am hearing the play is getting tougher there.

Just looking at the schedule now, and after the next Beginner MTT for $4.40, the next cash tournament if I had $200 on there would be in 11 hours and 50 mins which is a $2.25 MTT, i think they could offer more tournament than this for low stakes

Ive got to say, I do like Bodogs software etc, I like the clean easy to use look, but the one big thing which is really putting me off is the MTT selection/variety, but I suppose building money up on the Multi-Table Sit and Gos or the SnG's is an option!

James, have you checked out the heads up tournaments in the SnG section? Might be an easy way to build your bankroll without risking much. They have as low as $5/.25 HU tourneys and the players there for the most part are very weak. Just a suggestion, I've done fairly well playing those, and most of them don't take more then 10-15 min max.
