I cant decide.
Which is easiest to deposit and withdraw?
Which has biggest game selection?
Best Rewards program?
Largest player pool?

Any other input would be appreciated.

Out of those three... I would pick carbon. They seem to have a better selection of games and more members then bodog and the other site.

Me personally, I use Bodog, but thats only because I use there sports wagering setup and have been for years, so I am comfortable with them.

Good luck with whichever site you choose!

Sportsbook and Carbon are basically the same site, I mean everything is the same but the color. Sportsbook is easier as far as a deposit.

Bodog is your better site although the deposit is alittle more harder to make.(Well it was for me) with all the verifications. Bodog also has your larger player pool.

I would say go with Bodog and Carbon if you can. Carbon does rakeback so that's kinda a plus.

You really think Bodog has a bigger player pool? I think just the opposite, their tourney's and SnG's take forever to fill up.

Well you know I thought about it, maybe it was the time of day or something when I noticed it. But I do think more people play at Bodog.

There's more traffic at Carbon (Merge network) than Bodog according to pokerscout.com.

My personal preference is for Bodog, but I don't love the software on either site. If you like chat bubbles and cute pictures popping up when someone says "lol" or "shark" or "donkey" then Carbon is for you. (That can, however, be turned off.)

thanks for input guys, think I am between carbon and sportsbook, though they both seem very similar does anyone know about rakeback situation with either. I had rakeback of full tilt, but I also liked the way on stars you could just cash in points for cash and it would be put in your account instantly. When Full tilt switched from a dealt method of rakeback to a contributed method I switched to stars and sort of enjoyed their rewards structure. Keep in mind I already set up accounts on both to check them out, NO Deposits yet.

Hi Boltpoker,

Thanks for considering to play at CarbonPoker. If you PM CarbonChris, he can tell you the best methods base on your region to deposit and withdraw and its expected timeframes.

CarbonPoker is the flagship brand on the Merge Gaming network, so all skins including Sportsbook.com will share the player base.

We recently released our new VIP Program, which offers players more ways to increase their bankroll by the added value given. It is the only skin on Merge to have this VIP Program.

If you need anything else, just post here or PM CarbonChris.

Thanks.

I just downloaded Carbon and when I tried to deposit, the problems began. I couldn't use usemywallet because I don't have an account and in order to get an account I have to be invited by Carbon. Carbon said they can't invite me until they have a record of transaction. They suggested I get a visa international pay as you go type card but I don't want to, I want the convenience of depositing from my computer. So much for Carbon poker. Guess I'll try Lock poker, but one thing is for sure, I'm not playing on any site that is inconvenient as far as depositing or withdrawing money is concerned.

Sorry that your having troubles but do realize that this is the fault of the government not the sites. In the post Black Friday world, its just going to be a little tougher for we Americans to play. Make a little extra effort if you care about the game.

Also, Lock is part of the same Merge network as Carbon so probably similar deposit options.

Good luck.

I just don't know why Carbon won't send me an invitation so I could apply to get a usemywallet account. Their procedure has nothing to do with Black Friday, it's Carbon that says they need a request of deposit to invite me, but without usemywallet, I can't request a deposit. Yeah, I could get one of those Visa cards where you have money put on as you go, but I just feel Carbon could make it easier and more convenient to get a usemywallet account. After all, they're the ones that want our business. Besides, I want to go through my checking account with usemywallet. Even though those visa cards are pay as you go, I think there is a monthly charge to have it, right?

Just do a Money transfer to them ... It's pretty easy to do from just about any grocery store in the US.

yeah I have been unsucessful at getting a UMW account as well for a long period of time. I asked a couple sites if they could send me an invitation at one time or another in the past couple years, and they told me of secret algorithms you had to pass before you could be sent an invite.

So I just skipped depositing on those sites

Joining usemywallet is quite a hassle, and its not fast, but it is well worth the trouble and with the recent black friday stuff, you are going to need to get it.
If these Carbon reps(CarbonAtil),have any pull at all, they can get you a usemywallet invite. It shouldnt be that big of a deal.
If not, some casinos will send you an invite just for joining...or ask a poker site you already belong to like the Cake network, they use it too.

It may take a few days to get usemywallet, because you gotta get verified thru a small deposit at your bank,if I remember correctly, but this method is worth all the hassle. The more you use usemywallet, the faster you get you cashouts,or it seems that way to me....I can get a withdraw from a poker site, then deposited in my bank, all in the same week...at least thats how my last withdraw went...

Lock and Carbon are on the same network, merge, so on either you play the same people.

35% is the standard RB for all merge sites.

Carbon

  • 35% Rakeback daily - directly into player accounts
  • Sidegames Ring-Fenced Month, No Negative Carry Over
  • Rakeback players are eligible for deposit bonuses and promotions
  • You can play an unlimited amount of tables
  • New Depositors Cash Chase - When you first join CarbonPoker and deposit, you will be offered and individual 30-day Cash Chase. From the time you deposit, until 30 days later, you will be racing through an individual leaderboard. The more points you earn, the bigger your payout. - Theoretically you can make up to an extra $500, but I am guessing 25K points is pretty unlikely to get in 30 days...
  • 100% up to $600 Bonus
Carbon and/or Merge seem the best to join at the moment. Traffic is much higher than other available options. Although I want people at Bodog :)

Of all of them, Sportsbook is the easiest of the 3 to fund, they can take credit cards, I normally use a prepaid card like netspend. I recently just signed up for a card from www.entropay.com but have not used it yet

Yes. I was able to just by emailing their support. It took about 3 business days to go through. Just explain that you didn't know about rakeback at the time and you would like it added to your account.

It also depends on if you used a bonus code when you signed up or not.
