[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]I emailed Bodog customer services and this is the email they sent me. Am must be stupid cos I cant make head nor tail of it, anyone have any idea what they are saying?

Dear Colin,

Thank you for contacting Bodog Customer Service.

We understand that you are inquiring about your account with us. Rest assured that we can get this sorted out for you.

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that our website is currently undergoing a revamp as we are working on an exciting and significantly enhanced Live Dealer casino product in the summer of 2013. Because of this, we decided to disable all of our customer's account since you won't be able to access any of our channels.

We ask and would greatly appreciate your patience in dealing with this matter.

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know.

Best regards,

Correct - only US and CA players can play there now.

Correct - only US and CA players can play there now.

Just to clarify, Bodog branded gambling sites do not accept US players. Bovada, which is owned by a different company than the Bodog branded sites, is on the bodog poker Network so that may be where the confusion is coming from :)

In terms of Bodog branded gambling sites, Bodog.eu (formerly Bodog.ca) is the Canadian facing site and Bodog88.com is the Asian facing site. The UK facing Bodog site has been closed until its relaunch with the live dealer product.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any more questions!

Becky, how is it that Bovada is owned by a different company than Bodog? I am in the US. Took me like 2 years, but I finally tried to re-active my Bodog acct, directed to Bovada. And the $ in my acct was still there. Did you sell the accts to Bovada including the players' holdings?!? I figured Bovada was absolutely a subsidiary of Bodog, just somehow incorporated in a different country. Not a lawyer, no idea how that would work.

But I mean the sites are very similar in the poker games, table stakes - and even sports, etc betting that they have to offer.

Subsidiary companies for legal reasons...

Alwyn Morris' MMGG company licensed the Bodog brand and operated it in the US when Bodog left the US market in 2006. In 2011 Bodog let the license expire so MMGG rebranded it as Bovada. It's still the same MMGG company running it as before, just under a different brand.

Thanks much Kahn, dmorris and Becky. I'm glad to see it is actually 'run' by the same management. And was super-glad to find that after a couple years, the customer service was still as superb as remembered, heads and shoulders above the rest.

Wish there were a couple more poker games like or HORSE, Badugi, and 7- or 8-game. But mostly I'm just thankful to have it all back at that site especially. :D Omaha H/L is all I'd really miss, and we got that.

Again, to be clear, all that really switched was the name. Your account, funds, the servers, the software (aside from the branding), the company running the game... it all remained exactly as it was. Bodog has had nothing to do with US-facing poker since 2006. It only licensed its brand to MMGG through 2011, and MMGG still runs things same as before. The only change was they had to strip the name "Bodog" from everything.

Thanks for the info, lol, at 67 years old I'm lucky if I can remember what exactly happened yesterday.

But, you are from Texas, 'Wagon596', so you gotta "remember the Alamo", right. At 70 1/2, believe me, I can relate more and more every day. LOL

Good information dmorris68 AND BodogBecky. Thanks to you both! I think Bodog and now Bovada have been the very 'best' at one thing over all the other sites I have played ... payout withdrawals are easier and faster.

Thanks Bovada, Wally

Hey there, unfortunately I'm unable to to help with Bovada issues as I work for Bodog branded websites, all which are all owned by a different company than Bovada. I would suggest giving Bovada CS call!

Thanks,
Becky
