See this thread for details on the update:

https://www.cardschat.com/forum/poker-rooms-10/

This is good news for the people that play at bodog and suffer through some of the multiple annoying software problems that pop up from time-to-time.

While they will be leaving the US at the end of the year, I am sure they will carryover new software to whatever entity is left in the US :) May be a good time to join for players, especially since they seem to sport the fastest payout times at the moment.

I have an account and have yet to play there. Checking out Colt Poker right now, seems to be pretty decent and thats from playing the freeroll satellites.

Thanks for the link. I think Bodog can be considered one of the more reputable sites, especially since they have a long history of betting pay outs.

Hey guys, to clarify, the bodog brand name is leaving the US market at the end of the year but MMGG, the company that owns and runs the bodog.eu operations, will essentially rename the site and continue to serve the US market as usual. The newly named site will also be a part of the bodog network.

Thanks!
Becky

Just curious Becky, but does Bodog have any aspirations to add other "skins to the Bodog Network, other than Bodog and MMGG?

As someone who has generally been disappointed by the current Bodog software... I'm rather excited to see Bodog making improvements at a time when people are having to make tough choices on where they play and how much they play.

Yes- the network plans to accept medium to large size non-bodog branded operators as well.

Thanks for the clarification. Thought for a minute we were losing another US site.
Hope the new software solves the connection issues I and others weem to have with BD.

That's great to hear. I had thought Bodog was completely pulling out of the US market but I'm glad to hear you're not. Can't wait to see this new software.

Ok made a small and I mean small deposit at Bodog an so far its not my cup of tea. Limited tournies, limted sng, and OMG I hit a flush and the table lit up in flames, what the crap was that about. The visual effects they can keep. Well once I spend this or cash out which ever comes first I will be waiting to see what the new folks do.

Have to agree with the Sware problems. I have had to quit several cash games because of it. I thought they would have cured it by now.

Maybe they are beta testing their software without accessability from the users, tying it into the system, this could be causing the problems. BTW I would like to play against my CC friends and do a little give-and-take on our play. Let me know if anyone wants to sit a table in .02/.05 NLHE and PLO. I am NOT saying we collude in any way, we are playing against each other and giving feedback here on our play.

Well software was especially buggy today. Usually I can close3 it and reopen it in time to get back to my 4 tables, not today! Got put on autofold. Several times clicking the buttons nothing happened, requiring a restart. SIGH.
