Seems like Bovada has faster payouts and softer games? can anyone confirm this I'm planning on depositing on Bovada and building a roll there. Kinda sick of Blackchip do you think it would be worth switching over there?

I think you should try it and decide for yourself. I like both.

I like both also, although BlackChip's support is pretty miserable, so if you don't mind anonymous seating/players that Bovada uses...stick with them they have better support and faster cashouts.

I've only tried Bovada and Lock, but Bovada definitely has the softer games between the two.

This anonymous feature could be Bovada's advantage cause it doesn't allow regs to use their huge databases and HUDs so everybody has equal conditions.
Speaking about BCP - it is a solid Merge skin with good reputation.
Both rooms have good support teams and withdrawals take reasonable time.

I think the serious poker players have to open the accounts on both rooms.

Iike BLACKCHIP cause cardschat help me start myrol their on some promo they had that I thought if you used the CC link you had access to all FR's on this site, but I guess that deal ran out at some point but alos like it cause its anymous

I like bodog cause it anonymous but wow that makes eachtable with just players numbers seem even more impersonal than other sites. Im sure the checks do come fast, except for right now, Im one of the players that seems to make the game soft

IM Ssurprised this comment hasnt made people lose their minds cause it doesn't allow regs to use their huge databases and HUDs so everybody has equal conditions.

Bovada (Bodog) is the only site I trust. All the others come and go and switch around but other than a name change Bovada/Bodog has always been constant. They don't insist you have $500 in order to withdraw (unless that has changed-I haven't withdrawn lately) and you receive your money in a reasonable time.

How is the player traffic at Bovada for the 0.02/0.04 cash games and $0.50-$100 MTT's and SnG's?

There seems to be less player traffic (which may or may not be good). Seems to me it's because they split off from Bodog. That makes sense. I must admit I still don't like the anonymous players and I would like it if they had player to player transfers.

^^^^^^

Advantage for some
Disadvantage for others

Anonymous is more ROOT/Core poker, your definitely relying on your skills.

@lilwanger if you're sick of playing at blackchip than cashout and quit playing there. go ahead and make that deposit on bovada minimum is $20 it'll cost $20.98 though! bovada isnt too bad i kinda hated the anonymous thing like every1 else but it doesnt bother me at all now. they have alot of small buy in sngs worth playing and when you play certain amount you'll get invited to freerolls. just take $20.98 and try bovada, if you do good and like it there keep playing there, if you dont like it and lose its only $20.98 loss.. goodluck to whichever you decide tho

never played on Blackchip but Bovada has been good to me so far. Only wish there was more traffic. More traffic on blackchip?

Been on Bovada now for 3 weeks to a month. I got use to the anonymous players quickly. I also like that nobody can use a HUD on the games since I never really gotten into them myself.. You'll get some chatty people which is nice if you like that, but other than that it feels pretty desolate. I haven't gotten a cashout yet so I couldn't give you a correct answer on that, but I read good reviews.

All in all I think Bovada is pretty good, I adjusted pretty quickly, and the games are beatable. hope that helps a little. Goodluck!

Also like the above poster wrote, the traffic isn't that high.

I like bovada so far. I was playing on blackchip but they quit accepting my credit card and I don't like the western union proces. I was very happy to find out bovada accepted it and deposited $25 a few nights ago. Same night I played in a $2.20rebuy and binked 2nd place for about $170! I am going to cash out my original deposit amount and see how far I can go with that bankroll starter.

Curious about credit card deposit on Bovada. Was there any extra charge from your credit card or from Bovada on deposit?

I have been playing on the merge network (carbon, felstars (now defunct) and blackchip) ever since I started playing poker and do enjoy playing there but I recently took third in one of the CC freerolls (Thanks again CC!) and have built that up into over 200.00 dollars in around a week. Now i finally have a decent bankroll to work with! yay!...lol anyways, I have to say the games are way softer than at Merge and I am trying to learn to use a hud but havent sucessfully figured it out yet so I like that about bovada because it gives me a fair edge where huds are concerned. It is different, not being able to see a username and when people chat, it's like.. nh 122... lol but All in all, I have to say that I am becoming a fan of Bovada these days...

I really like bovada.. It is a little confusing without player names but like previously stated it levels the playing field somewhat for players that dont use HUD's.. im trying to figure it out for other sites that except it but right now its just a bunch of confusing numbers haha

Curious about credit card deposit on Bovada. Was there any extra charge from your credit card or from Bovada on deposit?

They charge an extra 4.9% to your credit card on deposit, but they don't charge anything for cashing out.

I requested a check on 31 Oct, and received it on 14 Nov. Deposited it to my bank account and it cleared no problem.
