Finally---BCP news

From the BCP rep at 2+2;

Hi All,

We've made the decision to pull from Poker Maximus III due to a number of reasons which will become clear within the next week. We are confident this decision is in the best interests of our players and partners. As mentioned a few days ago, when we are able to make an official announcement we will do so.

Thanks again for your patience and understanding.

What skin do they now want to be a part of? I will miss my monthly VIP tourney when they move. Gosh, my goal this week was to earn 100 points on BCP to be in their 100 seats to 100K freeroll on Saturday.

A bit surprised this thread got no overnight action.

Flipping thru the BCP lobby, first thing I notice is it is changing fast. Filters set for all tourney's/all BI's is shrinking fast. While there are still a few dated beyond Dec 6, that list is shrinking. By the end of the day, we should know when this will happen by what tourney's are left to pre-register in.

If I were to guess at this moment, it looks like Dec 7. But that could change in a heartbeat.

Of note, in the BCP lobby, there is no Sunday Big Ticket (100K G) game showing for this Sunday.

It also looks like Hero Poker and RPM Poker have pulled out of Poker Maximus 3.

Anyone else think this is just a weird comment? Like, It's in the best interest of our players to eliminate large guaranteed mtts. ummm...:hmmmm:

You have to consider that each skin held some responsibility for covering each of those G tourney's, each probably according to the average traffic they provide. Those who did not/do not participate, are not responsible. Many of the skins had already stopped participating in games over x amount ($11 often). And the participating skins were dropping like flies.

While the occasion overlay is a great find, the constant overlays had me worried a long time ago. Goes to the financial status of the folks who hold my money hostage......

I think I understand the whole thing, and accordingly think Carbon is more at blame that BCP.

without bcp and hero out of m3,it will be hard for merge to guarantee pots, and IF bcp was to leave merge,it would be a good idea to move too americas cardroom, either way i havent and stilll will not deposit money on merge til everything is clear, with all the negative publisity that merge has i think most of us will find better alternatives such as acr, lock and bodog(bovada)

The poker world seems to be playing "The Musical Chairs" game. Where we stop nobody knows. Maybe soon.

Well it's in news BlackChip Poker Leaving Merge Gaming Network

http://www.gambling911.com/gambling-news/blackchip-poker-leaving-merge-gaming-network-112812.html
As has been rumored in recent weeks, BlackChip Poker, one of the premier Merge Gaming Network brands, will be finding a new home. That announcement is expected in the coming days.

BlackChip Poker confirmed Wednesday it will not be allowing customers to take part in the hugely popular Poker Maximus III that kicks off November 29.

We've made the decision to pull from Poker Maximus III due to a number of reasons which will become clear within the next week. We are confident this decision is in the best interests of our players and partners. Thanks again for your patience and understanding.

While check delays are being reported, those with “inside” information have noted that such delays are a result of the pending network switch.

By most accounts BlackChipPoker appears to be financially sound and this is simply a move to another poker network, which is a common industry practice.

At press time it was not immediately known which network BlackChipPoker would be moving to. Gambling911.com has not been able to confirm rumors that they are moving to Winners Poker Network, though, if true, customers will likely see payout times improved to within two weeks (well above the current industry standard when it comes to US-facing rooms). Likewise, Winners has some of the deepest pockets in the Web gambling world bar none.

I do not know if moving to ACR's network is all that hot. The overlays on Merge are 30% at most. The overlays at ACR last weeks 5 day events was 66%.

ACR was not trying to meet gurantees on those tournaments. It was more of a promotion to draw in players to there site. They knew that there was no way they would hit those gurantees. Their regular tournaments are hitting the gurantees.

yesterday there were over 1500 on PM $11 event so I dunno what BCP is bringing to the table since most americans are probably on at least 3 merge skins and we are all using real money that will be converted into play money when its cash out time

I've read in a couple places now that it is confirmed that they're moving to Winning Poker Network. (nothing I can link yet) If I find something worth linking I'll be sure to.

It is confirmed on BCP's facebook page that they are moving to Winning Poker Network. P2P transfers will be available after the move and players will need to be verified by WPN.
