I've been playing BCP lately and like it a lot. The software is improving (they just had a big update), I like the rewards program, and there are usually at least 5 tables per level and closer to 12 around peak hours. Best of all, supposedly they are very good at cashouts! Some things that need to get fixed are preferred seating and table resizing. More traffic would also be nice.

Best of luck EmptyPkts on BCP. Out of curiosity, what is your screen name on BCP? And what games do you play?

I'm R3ptar and I've been sitting across 2NL lately.

I have been a member there for a couple of months but just started really playing alot on BCP within the last couple weeks. They've got a bunch of well structured daily tournaments that I like a lot. The new update gives it sort of a PS feel. My biggest gripe is the lack of tournament tickets for satellites. They just autoreg you. It's mostly my fault on misreading the lobby but it sucks to win a sat and realize your gonna be at work when the tournament starts especially if it's a daily tournament. It would be nice to play and win tickets for the 10k gtd at 9 on mornings that I will be at work that night and use them the next day or whenever i will be home to play. This just doesn't make sense to me since it runs every night what would be the difference.

So far (1 month in) I like BCP alot. The new update helped a bit and the cash games at micro stakes are active. I would love if they had some micro mtt tourneys. I think the lowest I have seen is $3.30 1rb 1ao. I am not rolled for those yet. The rakeback is nice too.

I've been on BCP for about a month as well. I like it a lot. Haven't been able to cash out yet, so I don't really know about the whole "good with cash outs" thing. Good luck to all here if you decide to play on BCP....and keep a lookout for me! My SN on there is Enzo1089.

The biggest problem about BCP is their software. Merge and Revolution are far superior to winning poker network client software.
Also holdem manager is a bit glitchy with BCP

This is why I will never deposit at BCP:

Jackpot Fee

* For every Hold’em table marked Jackpot that has a minimum of 4 players dealt into the hand; a jackpot fee will be taken from the pot and fed to The Beast and the Bad Beat Jackpot.
* On Stakes $1.00/$2.00 and lower the Jackpot Fee is $0.25:
$0.17 to feed The Beast,
$0.13 is then contributed towards the Cash Race
$0.04 is contributed to the Tournament Race.
$0.08 are taken to feed the Bad Beat Jackpot.

All that plus rake seems kinda greedy to me.............

It's really not a huge issue above like 20NL. It does make jackpot tables at 5NL (and prob 10NL as well) near-unbeatable though.

The software is different at BCP from that at ACR. On ACR, when I do full screen, it covers my task bar, not so at BCP. Minor thing really.

Bigger gripes;

Every public tourney is still guaranteed. THERE IS NO NEED FOR THAT (picture me screaming that as loud as I can!)
Private tourneys seem to be the only place to have a tourney and see who all turns up for it. I thought this was only a problem at WPN, but I have noticed that most other sites are doing this as well. Smart sites will set the guarantees low enough to never have to worry about overlays.

Late registration and it's general ugliness is the results of overambitious TD's posting guarantees too high.

At ring tables; I have Wait for BB, but when the BB comes, I better have that boxed unchecked or I will be waiting another orbit, when that same situation happens. I just left a full table because I wasn't gonna wait and I wasn't gonna post any extra BB's.

Game variety is weak. What the hell is Telesina or 32 card poker? Might get some action if that were Stud/Stud8/Razz and Badugi. OK, not sure about Badugi, but maybe.

I agree; ACR & BCP are great American facing sites with good cash out times.
Their tournament offerings are very poor, its mostly for Cash Games & Sit N Goes, b/c tourney buy-ins are high relative to payouts compared with every other US site I've played.
For whatever reason traffic is down noticeably the past 1-2 months. I haven't been playing long enough to know if there is a slow down during the summer for fish and newbs joining or if something else is going on. Pro's and Semi-Pros will be playing no matter what.

Thinking the summer valley will pass and the winter peak is approaching, but did notice the decrease in traffic over the past couple of months. Seems like the US servicing sites receive a blow in revenue and traffic during the summer months. I could see how the summer series going on at the local casinos and riverboats could contribute to it.

...oh.

Well, you got me there dude. No clue, sorry.

I've had people tell me to look in the HH's, but it isn't there either.

Seems shady to me. There might be a totally easy way to find out, and there should be, but no one has passed the info or discovered it.

The only way I can think of finding out what it is would be to manually track each hand and manually do the math.

Easier to just not play there.:(

lol, rake at the non-jackpot tables is normal bro. It's the jackpot tables that charge an extra quarter.

Get up to 50NL and feed off the fish up there. They'll pay your jackpot rake for you. :D

black chip poker insane rake

I've found out there is a crazy fee at the tables at black chip poker.
on the jackpot tables, which are the majority, you pay 5% rake plus a huge fee.
at micros it is impossible to beat it.
for instance at 25nl they take 0.25$ from every pot
a pot of 1.60 becomes 1.27 (.08 rake plus .25 jackpot fee)
the jackpot goes then to a very limited field of players, that makes it unprofitable to play there at micros

Is it possible to open more than one tourney/sng lobby at a time on BCP &/or ACR? Tilts me to have the lobby disappear & be replaced by another one I've opened up.... just wondering if there's some sort of 'settings' feature I'm missing.
