As I'm playing poker host and carbon poker and sportsbetting freerolls i notice that they have multiple small paying freerolls... I was wondering if anybody agrees or knows of any higher paying freebies. I think there should be less of them BUT BIGGER PAYOUT. It makes more sense to take a couple hours to win one large sum rather than 20 hours just to win a hundred bucks or so....

There will probably be much bigger payouts for freerolls if poker is ever legalized in USA. Back in the good old days a good player might make $100 a day in freerolls.

I'd actually argue that from the poker rooms perspective it would make more sense to stick with having a number of small free rolls as apposed to one or two bigger ones. However I agree that as a player I'd prefer having to play a single free roll that has a bigger payout

also on 888 poker are bigger freerolls.. Bad thing is that most of them are restricted. Right now there will be series of freerolls for 50000$, but you have to make a deposit to get ticket, or to stake some amount of money there in sng, tourneys or cashgame...

Cardschat hosted a nice freeroll

Early last month, this very site celebrated 100k members with a $3,000 freeroll on Bovada open to all members. From what I've seen at Carbon, the open freerolls are so well attended and the play so loose, it takes hours to earn pocket change. I may not be the most skilled player ever but even I need some lucky draws to money from 3500 players. I think that the only freerolls that have smaller fields and better payouts are sponsored ones. My advice: Satisfy the Cardschat freeroll club requirements (as I am trying to do) and play their games. The field for $3,000 wasn't even full and the play was above average for freeroll play. I find it so much more fun to play other knowledgeable sharps than do battle with the riff-raff in Carbons open freerolls. That said, I'll be playing in an open one in two hours. I find the off hours fields to be much smaller. :9d4:

But this well that the Sng think it's a very simple way to earn a free tournament entry $ 50K, MMM Good has to find ways to earn that ticket

Technically there is no such thing as free money when your talking freerolls, think about the time spent playing them. Must have some value on your time, but yes it is risk free play and risk free money if you can make it in there.

Don't get me wrong, love the freerolls its still the path I am on and how I have come to be able to do myself a cash game challenge for the month (well it wasn't a freeroll technically, as cost 20vpp on pstars but dam they play like a freeroll with the donky fishiness lol), but to say they are free when sometimes you can play for hours and make nothing or a few cents does get frustrating. This however is why the cc freerolls are so great because you are playing an excellent game, not a donk/fish fest, and if you can get itm especially FT you are looking at some $ to grind the micros at least and to bink one you got a decent starting br for micro grinding.

Still working to get itm myself, been in the club for almost two weeks and best so far I think was two or three times I was a spot or two off the bubble. Looking forward to getting past that bubble eventually for sure.

Freerolls are a great opportunity to build a bankroll from nothing , yes they require a time investment but if you are willing to invest the time .Once you have built up a roll then you can move up in stakes. If the time you spend playing is that important to you then deposit ,that would be your other option .Freerolls are also a good way to learn different types of games also...............scorp

Just reread this and figured I had to make a comment, IMO if you are making a hundred bucks or so playing freerolls then you are actually doing quite well (i mean aside from the cc freerolls in many you need to play 4-5 hours and if you get first might get between 4 and 10. Who wouldn't take 5$/hr playing poker with absolutely no risk as a part-time hobby. Besides if you can make the 100$ in 20 hours then you have yourself a nice BR to start playing for the real $$.

 hmmm I'd take 5$ an hour playing poker right now haha, considering i put in usually between 5-15 hours a day these days (thats with a full-time job) I would be getting myself a nice profit haha.

The frequency of freerolls and the amounts given out seem to be decreasing on many sites now. Understandably I suppose. So many people never seem to deposit, or ever intend depositing. The sites can't let that carry on can they ?
