Played a $50 H2H SnG last night on CDPoker, opponent was pretty poor, but nothing went right - didn't hit a flop hand after hand, while he caught a piece of everything. Went down to 400 chips from 1,000 when a big flush draw with 2 overcards and a dangerous looking board was called to the wire with a pair of 3's, then after playing tightly waiting for non existent playable hand, I was down to just 200 (versus 1,800). Back up to 400 when he tried to bluff me after I flopped pair, then up to 500 in a few hands. Then the big one - I had A4, flop came 4 j 10, I decided that this was it, if he's got J or a 10 he can have it, so I made a bet of 100 (hoping for a call or all in), and got called. Turn was another 4! Another 100 bet, again hoping he didn't fold, another call. River, the 4th 4! Another 100 bet, he puts me all in for my last 200, and I call in a shot. He flips 5 5, we're back to 1000 each. Very next hand, ive got AK of hearts. Small raise, flop is 2 hearts. Small bet is called. Turn is another heart for nut flush. Another small bet, he raises, I reraise, he's all in with top pair, $100 to me! Thank you very much!!

Congrats - I haven't tried any h2h games yet (too chicken), but it sounds like you got called on a couple of bluffs, then hit a couple of hands and made the most of them. Good job.

Nice one Rob.

I am playing $50 HU games at the moment and showing a pretty good profit. Played a 32 entrant HU game a few days ago and finished 2nd for $400+

We will have to play :)

Wouldn't say they were bluffs as such, just following up on pre-flop strength and guessing / hoping (wrongly it turned out) that opponent missed flop and was drawing.

Congrats, Rob sounds like you outworked him :)
I personally have little or no experience heads up.
The only heads up situations i've been in have been at the end of MTTs where the blinds are so high that it's just push when you get a hand, so i really have to improve my strategy i think...though no $50 SnGs in the horizon :)

Nice Job Rob!
Nothing like coming back from a big deficit to take the game!
