I have had an account with william hill for well over 8 years now, I have recently started playing their jackpot sng's.
Yesterday I was looking on their website to see what their player points were worth and I was shocked to see an announcement which read :

"As from February 2013 we will delete any player points which remain unused for over a year"?????
So now you cannot save your points up and how are you supposed to keep a check on when your points expire? Keep a diary?
I have written them a strong email telling them I will never play on there again, as far as I am concerned this is stealing.
Anyhow I just wanted to warn anyone who plays on Will Hill to be aware of this.
Does anyone know of any other sites that get up to similar tricks?

Most if not all ipoker sites do the same, Merge do as well. I think it is fairly common practice. I still think that Party are the worse though, if you have a money balance there and don't play for a while they take money from your account as an inactive account fee.

I agree though, once you have earned the points they should remain yours.

Best thing to do is cash transfer what you have now, and mark a date from today and just transfer your point return annually every year on the 22nd june.

those jackpot sit n go's are pretty good I've come close a couple of time
have you had any luck or known of anyone to take down a jackpot?

Indeed, I had money in my Party account some months ago and didn't play for a while (just a few weeks) and they took a considerable amount of money from my account. Thieves, that's what they are.

Colbefc, I guess you mean redeeming your points for either cash, tokens or bonus, right?

This annoyed me when I found out about it too. All or at least most Ipoker sites do this so just use up your points as you get them. I don't play on any Ipoker sites regularly anymore cos I don't like their software.

It's a terrible business plan. Some bean counter says "Hey, we can steal customers money by having their points expire."
Truly annoying, pokerstars does not do that.
Are these points taking up valuable space? No more than your phone number.
