I recently went back and tried the site again. The traffic was way down noticeably. I used to go in and find an Omaha table just about anytime not Im lucky if there are two tables open 50-1.00 stakes. Anybody else notice the slow down.

The number of players in all rooms has decreased. Poker is not as popular as before.

Yes, I've noticed.
I would say that all the MAJOR DOWN TIME that started in February and carried well into March had a lot to do with it.
I know I'm still not playing cash games on it again yet because of it.

CURIOUS SIDE NOTE.....
I was thinking of posting a thread yesterday about this same thing. Except what has caught my eye the MOST is.....

the New Depositor Freeroll is around 400-500 every week.....but the players on line aren't increasing at any given time of the day. The player online numbers are changing, but by the number of players in those New Depositor freerolls.....there should be at least another 3,000 people on the site since February. There isn't.

just say'nnnnnnn........:bandit:

If your site adds 3000 players but the online player count stays the same.....???.....
the number of tables available are lower, the number of players playing are lower...??.......

even a fruit fly should question that. :stupido:

((maybe they're all depositing just to play the freeroll and never going back for their deposit money)) :bebored:

BOL is not as popular either since February when the site started going offline continuously, and continued to well into March.

Are you being serious? Poker is more popular than ever. Plenty of players on other sites. To me just shows their unreliability and players less willing to deposit on a risky site. I know I wont again. Global has been working well for me.

I agree.
That is exactly what has happened to them. They lost major trust.

But .....I personally believe that BOL knows that they are not major players in the online poker world. A good part of the reason for that site is just because of SportsBet.
I believe that BOL for now is content with the few players they have paying the rakes they are paying. I don't think they give one hoot about being a "go-to" location for poker players.
AND...I also believe they are doing some real hard re-evaluating concerning the BOL poker site. That recent Hack Attack left their entire Sportsbet site in a dangerous situation also. AND that..is their bread and butter.

Anywhoo...it's going to be interesting to just watch that site over the next couple years and see if it grows, blows, or just stays there for the drifters that come in.

Fact not Fiction. :bebored:

And I just left ACR.
It's almost 2am....no players in the micro ring games......open seats in the 4 or 5 tables that are going. BOL is showing 729 players online...but a few more full micro ring games going on with full tables.

So go figure.

((bed time !!))

pokerstars always has many players, at any time, I think people prefer pokerstars for the Lobby, it is modern and easy to use and they are constantly updating, that is very important in the technological world

I just have to live long enough for them to go legal US nation wide. lol

I believe if you're going to play online, and you can play cash on PS...it's the top site. The safest one too as far as security. I agree. Not another site can compete with them in the money to invest in being the top site all around. I think it's also the most secure site for players on many levels.
On ACR and BOL, it's a lot easier for teams to work the tables until they're caught or just change names and accounts and do it all over again. Just fewer tables, makes it easier to set the games up. My opinion.

anywhoo....i agree.:bandit:

Fulltilt being basically PokerStars......
I think you're right. I believe it will fully merge into, inside, and be swallowed by PokerStars completely eventually. But only after PokerStars is ensured it will not lose any rake money in the process.
Could be decades...or not. But PS is sure ensuring it's own trust within the governments of the nations it's allowed to operate in. That in itself is just a maneuvering thing for PS.
PS is staying in the good graces of the countries it's in, as much as possible, so when the markets are opened, they are already poised to go full Poker Site in them.

Fulltilt will likely be swallowed by PS fully...somewhere in the future of the world.

But who knows.....Facebook might try it one day too.

Now there's.....a thing to bet on!! :D

((being alive to collect in future...would be the only slight...issue))
(might take another 30 or 50 years) :tomato:

I read an article that pokerstars is going to start operating in India, it has to be a fabulous business of billions of dollars for the amount of inhabitants that the Indian has, I think pokerstars is looking for those players

BOL lost a lot of traffic from getting rid of freerolls and getting rid of the micro SnG's. Most of the people that were playing on BOL when they had freerolls were most likely people who won some money in the sports betting part of BOL and wanted to try their hands an poker while waiting for a game or something in my experience. Once they got rid of the cheap games these players seem to have completely left. I used to always play on BOL, especially the micro SnG's but now that their gone I barely play except for CC and Jackpot freerolls really.

There was some chatter on CC about them dropping the freerolls, and on another forum.
I think with that...and the site hack....it hurt them dearly. I haven't played my cash on there since early March....I still haven't used that Depositors Freeroll ticket I got back in February. I'm in no hurry to go back to it....now that I'm on ACR with more venues.
I still like BOL, I just don't trust it right now.

The new depositor freeroll has had 400 to 500 people since February....but the player count never goes up...it just gets lower.
Time will tell. :playingba
