Betonline and SportsBetting Issues

I was playing a tournament called $500 lucky pot. I t's down to 3 tables, I'm in second place and site starts having a server problem causing me to loose connection with them. I contact them via live chat to find out whats going on. This is what they said: Hi! Welcome to BetOnline! How can I help you?

It's like I was talking to an automated system. And this is the second time this has happened in one week. Strongly considering looking for another site to play poker.

So, send them the info they're asking for.

I am with JQ send the info they ask for, it only takes 5mins.
It's not an automated system, when the sever crashed live chat gets flooded, i am sure they got quick keys programmed in so they respond quicker.

You will other get the prize money for 2nd or get a refund for the game.

Yes I was first with a few players left in a full-ring SNG....i ended up just saying screw it (thought it was just my computer for some reason) and decided to stop playing for the night. It ended up popping back onto my screen and the tournament resumed like 10 minutes later, so it all worked out in the end

As soon as I finished posting the message, I gave it one my try and was able to reconnect. When I lost my connection, to my recollection, there were 24 players left with the b.b. at 8000 and I had about 110,000 chips while in the middle of an all in with someone with about 40000 chips. When I reconnected I came back to final table of 9 players with with 130000 chips and a big blind of 80000. How is that possible?

ATTENTION BOL PLAYERS

Hey fellow card chat readers,

I am just giving everyone a heads up before anyone spends their time or money in the night tournaments. (If you still want to play that is up to you) however I have taken record of 4 times in the past 2 and a half days that I have been in the middle of a tournament late night between 11 pm and 3:30 am eastern standard time and the site crashes. 1 out of 4 times when the site came back up i had any chips left. However yes they were freerolls so im not really out any money.

However all BOL players know about the $50,000 guarentee and $100,000 guarentee tournaments coming up. When I contacted BOL about the issue, they said if it happens during a tournament that you pay to buy into, than your buy in will be refunded.

However it is very frustrating sitting and playing for 2-3 hours and get down to 40-50 players just to get kicked off and only getting your buy in refunded. I know if it happens to me in the big tournaments and we are that close to being in the money I am going to be highly upset.

Time is money, and if you stay up too late..tired money.

Ok I was wondering why I couldn't log in at certain times in the night recently. I also can't log in right now so I can't play. Hopefully this is resolved soon so I can go back to playing

I completely agree, time IS money, however BOL doesn't take that into consideration nor do they care about the time we use to play in these tournaments just to be kicked off.

I understand you very much. I have so many times on freerolls. But it was the provider with the unstable signal of the Internet that was to blame.

betonline problems?

Could not log on to Betonline last night. Went to their facebook site and someone had just commented they were getting no or negative responses from them. Are they about to vanish?

To add to my previous post Betonline is now showing a message "down for maintenance" I was near the end of the $300 freeroll and had just gone all in with pocket AA when site shut down. This looks all too familiar. Cardschat better take a look at its recommended site list again!

Seems like every site has its issues. that is complete Crap though, near the end of a multi hr freeroll and the game craps out wtf been there that blows sorry you have to experience that fn blows!

Got disconnected last night also. In a 6 person sit & go with the chip lead. Checked my history today and saw I won it so everyone must have gotten booted off.

Deja vu. This is about the third or fourth time you've reported losing a poker site at a critical moment.

I'm going to go out on a limb and ask: is there something wacky going on with your ISP?

We have seen these same issues at ACR and most other rooms including pokerstars - from how it looks, it seems to be a DDOS attack and I am sure they will do what they have to to fix it.

I was in a $100k gtd for 7 hours when this happened at ACR and they did the right thing in regards to compensation, Im sure BOL will as well. I dont see what they should do for freeroll players, Im sure they are running multiple times a day so dropping out of 1 when Im sure people play these all the time really isnt a good reason to complain

Update for BOL, I was i the same freeroll when it crashed, for a matter of fact the site has crashed 5 times in the last 72 hours. However I do have good news and better than what they have been telling me the last 27 times I called.

ALL BOL PLAYERS ---- delete the App, than open your web browser, clear your history and cookies. Than go to poker.betonline.ag and redownload.

This is the best news they have given me.. All other times I have called all they said was "we are expierencing technical difficulties and will have the site back up as soon as possible" .. than the site would be back up and crash an hour later.

Give this a try and hopefully it works. Trust me I know how frustrating it is to play a freeroll for 2-3 hours just to get kicked off.. happened to me 5 times in the past 3 days.... however like I said This is the best news Ive heard from them so it sounds like they have worked out the problem.

Yes BOL does compensate for tournaments that require a buy in, however freerolls we are S.O.L

You called 27 times for freerolls? Just curious, what kind of compensation are you looking for, the $3 you may have won?


Those freerolls aren't even poker, especially on the weekends - I would say playing those could even hurt your game. There is no way to bet people out of a hand, they just call and pray or go all in - then they bitch that its "rigged".

I play regularly on BOL and can say, other than this weekend I cant remember the last time they had issues with the site crashing - Its hardly worth getting worked up for, especially when you aren't risking anything (other than a few hours)

BTW, dont get too excited with this response, its the auto response whenever people complain about the software - This is definitely a site wide issue and reinstalling it will not help

This was not a auto respone from a email, I spoke to someone from their main site customer service department... however the site has crashed AGAIN.

No I didnt call 27 for a freeroll, i was just stating that they dont compensate anything for freerolls. The reason i called was I was in the middle of 2 satellite tournaments, 1 for a seat into their $50,000 guarantee tournament which was today, which i wasnt able to play in because the site was down, and the other which was for their $100,000 guarentee tournament for next sunday. They did compensate me a free entry into another satellite tournament, however who knows whether or not the site will be working by time that tournament gets here...
