I have hit a couple of their freerolls, just to play around. I was going to deposit, but there are a few things that I don't like.

Higher rake than ACR: 1c per 18c (5.56%) as opposed to 1c per 20c (5%) and no rakeback.

Not a lot of PLO 6-max: There's usually 1-2 tables at any given stake.

Potential Bots: And, on each of those tables (at least at the micros) there appears to be at least one bot and sometimes two. According to chatter on 2+2, people report botting accounts all the time but the site doesn't do anything about them.

I agree, there are too many players and there is no late registration, so you must play from the beginning.

More fish... and hopefully more bots. Not sure what people's problem is with bots when/if they exist. Pretty easy to exploit just about any bots imho. I haven't seen any bots on there, but I'm sure they exist, as every site has some.

I have been doing pretty good on this site lately. I finally got some cash from freeroll, and have been getting it to grow. I like playing the .55 buy in top 4 out of 8 players get 1.00.
then played some micro pot limit omaha, made a little over a dollar and sat out.
Good luck on the tables.

My problem with the bots is that they exploit the recreational players. I've found ways to take advantage of weaknesses for certain lines the bots make. But, these PLO bots just destroy the fish who don't know better. Players should be playing other people, unless they know they are playing programs.

I understand. I'm just not sure you can get around bots at any site. It's really hard to detect a bot if the person is don't anything even half way correct. And if they aren't hiding the bot correctly, I'd assume they didn't really code a very good bot that could beat most opponents any ways.

The fish are going to suffer everywhere they go, and probably more so in PLO than in NLHE.

Do you need to deposit on BetOnline in order to cash out from there?

I like that there are no late registration. Makes me feel like i have a better chance than someone jumping in at the end of late registration and playing really loose.

I took 2nd in the $300 nooner one day. There was like 2500 people in that one. It can be done.

My real question is what is the time commitment for a tourney like that? Had to be at least 3 hours right?

I can't pull up the lobby, so I don't know the exact count of players. But, I am pretty sure it was over 2600.

First hand was dealt at 12:05:05 EDT
Last hand was finished at 16:47:18 EDT

So, it was about 4.75 hours in total. It was a serious time commitment.

Wow man. I applaud that. I would have given up and just pushed it all in. I can't imagine what chip stacks looked like at the final table.

It's my online "dream" to make it in the top one day. :)

There were over 3.3 million chips in play. It went back and forth a bit, but I ran poorly and the blinds were 50k/100k with a 10k ante. That's less than 17xbb effective stacks (if we were equal which we rarely were).

It just takes patience. You could do it. The freeroll fields aren't too difficult.
