The current list of US poker rooms has shrunk down to nothing. So I was considering signing up with 'BetOnline'. Does anyone here play there and how do you like it?

PS - Also, I don't see a 'BetOnline" sign up banner in our softrware thread. Will we have one at some time in the future?

Betonline is not a RNG (Random number Generator site) unless you deposit. Their software is designed to allow people to freeroll in and build up a bankroll, but never to the point of cashing out, unless you have made a deposit - no matter how good you are. Once you deposit, the software unlocks this restriction and then becomes "somewhat" random in all stakes allowing you to make enough to cash out. Without depositing, you will build up your bankroll to a point, then simply become an ATM for new players - constantly winning up and then going back down - never being allowed to reach a cashout amount. The exceptions to this rule stand at 1/2 of 1%. In my book, if its not random...its fixed, even if its to non-depositors only. I enjoy playing poker, but don't enjoy the restrictions of their software. This information was aquired after talking with over 1000 new players.

lol?

FWIW I would stay far away from this site. They have a history of not paying players' funds.

This probably, but man there is some soft play on the site from what I've seen.

Very interesting about the random generator/cash out thingy. I'm wondering now just how many other sites I play at have that same cash out/random generator formula. How would you find out? If someone knows could you please post. Man, it sucks that there are so many grey areas and uncertainties in this online poker world of ours. If these freakin politicians would pass some legislation maybe things would be a little clearer anyway. I'm goin back to cruise ships! :p

I fooled around with it temporarily... Honestly hated it.

The software is poor, cashouts are a major pita and there just isn't a ton of poker tables running at any given time.. Granted most of the games were soft, but the software alone made me want to break things.

Don't recommend.
