I recently bought a new laptop (my previous work laptop, doesn't allow downloads/installs) and am ready to start my journey on a new website to play

I am based out of california, US. What are the top websites for US players to play on? I want to go ahead and install the software from the website and may be invest in a tracking tool like Pokertracker or holdem manager too and start playing for real money

Well personally I use betonline mostly because of the freerolls they can really help you build a bankroll before you consider putting any money into the site. ACR is my next choice then, I don't really like the interface as much but they have a good amount of stuff going on and freerolls to help build up a bankroll and I randomly got a $5 credit from them after not playing on it that much so that's a weird plus. If pokestars still worked in the US then I'd recommend that one lol. Since your looking at using HM or pt4 though I'd say go with ACR because they let you use it but betonline isn't supported by either program, but if you have a pc you can use driveHUD and I think that's a pretty good and affordable program (i'm on a mac so I can't really say). There's some other sites that US players like but I haven't really tried many yet (not till I get into the freeroll club and can build a bankroll of them) so looks around and try a few out if you wan't to deposit money into them, there's a nice review of some sites on cardschat so be sure to look at that. Hope that helps!

This question gets asked a lot. You should use the search function next time so you can find other threads like this. Your best combination of sites to play on would be Americas Cardroom, Betonline, Bovada, and Global Poker which you can play with your web browser.

I don't know about all these others because I have a Mac. I play at BetOnline and I tried to play at Bovada but the poker client won't download for me and apparently I am not the only one having trouble with it. If you have something with windows though juicy stakes has some pretty good bankroll building opportunities in their casino because they give 10 free spins a week to their casino game of the week. I am guessing you won't win much maybe a dollar or so but if you have a little patience you could let that build to a pretty stable BR over the course of a couple months. Maybe play poker elsewhere and just do the free spins until your bankroll builds high enough.

ignition and Betonline are the two best sites for US players imho.

ACR is also ok as well. But those are the top two, by far in terms of game selection, fishiness, and withdrawal times.

ACR is my fav and the only one I know of for US players that lets you withdraw winnings without ever depositing. (Though I haven't actually done this I believe that it is the case.)
