Best way to earn Stars points?

I have 10 days to try and earn 200 points on Stars...

What is the best/ easiest/ most efficient way to do this?

I normally play the turbo 45player $1 sngs, but finding the time to play 200 of them is going to be difficult.

Would I be better off playing cash games? (could multitable $0.10/0.20 but would this be any quicker?)

Dont normally play cash games, but seem to break even playing them, so would prefer sngs/ mtts (just about profitable)

Also play a bit of pl omaha- would this be better?

Have $66 or so to risk and can probably play a max of 40 hours or thereabouts.

Regularly play 4 of the sngs at a time, so would I be better off playing 6 of these at a time? (figure this would take 34-36 hours, but would prefer to get the 200 points in 20-30 hours so not braindead!)

Any suggestions/ help gratefully received.

FPP

I too have been working on clearing my bonus by playing the $1 stars SNGs. It takes a lot of time, but it can be done.

As far as getting it done in 10 days is concerned. your best bet is to multi table the SNGs. You will not accumulate many FPPs by playing micro cash games.

You could also try playing the smaller single table tournies. They will take less time and you can play more of them than the 45 person SNGs.

But remember to not tank your BR just to clear the bonus (I came close a while back, but managed to bring it back). Stick to the limits that you can win at (if it is the 45 player $1 sngs than fine), and don't get too risky with the money you already have.

I hope you get it, Good Luck!

Stay at the SNG, you will win more FPP there than at micro limit CG. But it won't be easy ..

Not sure what the vpp earn rate is at your level, but SNG's and Limit HE cash games usually give you more vpp's that just NLHE. Also PLO will give you a better earn rate than NL.

tks for all help, guess I'll stick to the sngs!

the $3 45 player sngs only give you 1 point! (same as the $1) otherwise that would have been the logical answer..

might try sticking to the 45 player turbos and if I fall behind target then switch to 1 table sngs.

Didnt realise that playing nl or plo wouldnt clear points any quicker- crazy when you consider the extra rake PS earn..(all other sites points far easier to earn on cash tables in my experience?)

tks for concern xpitch (over bankroll), but trying to get silverstar rather than clear a bonus so I can play 3 $30k points mtts next month...

dunno if you're adept at multitabling or not (id guess not seeing as you didnt mention it), but anyone can play like 5 tables of double or nothings. the added bonus is they're the lowest variance form of poker going, so there's little risk and you can perhaps play slightly higher buyin DoNs than you can standard SNGs.

- in the end I played a few 45 player sngs and then played 4 hours of pl omaha (2 tables at $0.10/$0.25 with $15 at each)
first hour went well- was $7 up and it looked as though it was going to be easy...
then nothing went for me- missed every nuts flush draw, 3 times I bet over $8 to split pots and didnt win a single pot of over $6!

Ended up $12 down, which is pretty bad, but dont think I did much wrong, just didnt go my way ($3 from sngs).

Anyway did manage to get 80 points, so well on the way!

Might give the pl omaha one more go, then think I'll go back to my sngs! (or else might give those DoNs a go Dorkus..)
