I am ATM Goldstar. I will lose GS status at the end of this month. I am not grinding volume anymore, for a while anyway, but still playing regular.

I bought 75$ from my FPPs to get some of my BR back. I can get about another 160$ if I cash in my FPPs. The GS price for FPPs will be gone after this month.

People talk about tourneys and stuff using FPPs that are a better value than cashing for dollars.

Any tips on how to get the best value for FPPs are appreciated.

(and, yes, I used the search button....)

I usually play with 210 fpp´s in these 20man sats, 6 players win $11 - it´s a good fpp use in my opinion :)

What Daniel said is one way, i used to do them too, although not practical if you have a lot of fpp's and don't wanna spend ages playing them, Still good but most people play the 235 who have a lot of fpp's cash 1/3 of those you play and you will be getting the equivalent exchange rate to the supernova bonus.

SNG > satellite > 235FPP hyper satellite to Sunday Storm.

They're pretty easy (and fun) imo. If you can cash in 1/3 of them, which isn't hard at all, they are considerably better value than the Gold rewards.

Only time you can't play them is during the Sunday Storm, which is mayeb why you didn't see them idk.

Edit: you'll need to find someone to sell your $T to though. I haven't got to that part yet but I'm sure there will be plenty of willing buyers here on CC.

Oh BTW does anyone know if you have to immediately unregister from the Sunday Storm after each 235 win?

Or can you build up multiple tickets/tournamemt registrations playing many 235s and then unregister to get all the $T?

Found em thanks.

I cashed for 75$, was I think 6250 FPPs, as a 75$ boost, along with my Stellar rewards, which I never cashed out this year, put my BR back up where it was before my horrendous downswing. So I am rolled again....

I have about 13k+, enough to get 160$ in my BR, so if I cash in 1/3 of these HPT 235, I can sell the T$s for more than that?

Hate to sound like a noob, but I never messed with this before. I come from SnGs, and used to play them exclusivly, so maybe my SnG chops are still good.....

Anyone who knows how and at what rate T$s are sold, tips are welcome!

EDIT : My BR is not where it was, but i am rolled for my stakes again at least......

With 13K FPP you can play ~55 of the 235s.

Lets say you cash in 18 of them, which is ~1/3.

Then you have T$198 ($11 for each Storm ticket)

What I don't know is how many $ you will be able sell those $T for. Probs like $180-185 I'm guessing but idk.

Theres people that buy fpps at like 99% of value I think.

I usually sell them in the 2p2 marketplace and I get $10.90 for 11T$, so with MM's example above you should be able to sell T$198 for like $196 no probs.

Also, just find someone who plays a lot of tournies that will buy them off you at face value, there are some members on here that will do that for you.

played 5 cashed in one.....

Is there a better time to play them or does it make any difference. And any links to good discussion or strategy about these would be appreciated. Seems like its shove or fold, and if first in any 2 BW, Ax, PP is good to go??

discovered the 235fpp 6 max hyper storm satellites and omfg they are a godsend.
top two get the $11 ticket to sell, plus they never take more than 5 mins each and are super easy to multitable so you get use up all your fpp fast. most +EV option imo

Play them on saturdays or sunday mornings, when all the fish will be on trying to actually qualify, as opposed to regs that play them to sell t$.

Def shove or fold, in LP i'll shove a stupid wide range if opening, all PP, suited broadway, off suit broadways like KT QT JT etc, almost any Ace. Once you get a double up you can be a bit more careful, but still be shoving wide if there are shorter stacks in the blinds as they'll either fold or call and we can still be in if beaten.

I always find my calling range is where i'm weakest in these, but thats just a hunch and i'm not going to spend a lot of time working on it.
