Hi Guys.

I`ve been looking at a few sites and, my, is it confusing.

I play on Ladbrokes at moment but I`m looking for an additional site.

I enjoy MTT (I must be mad!!!) and have a lot of success on S&G. I`m not a cash player.

I play more for the glory than the cash, so a good leaderboards with prizes is more for me.

I am lucky enough to be able to deposit a good amount of cash (one site said if you deposit $600 they would double that as a sign up bonus. I would be able to do that.)

I would appreciate so advice from you guys as to the best sites to play based on the following:-
  • MTT leaderboard
  • Quality of players
  • Sign up bonus
  • Amount of MTT
  • Ease of cash in/ cash out
Anything else that you feel I should be looking at.

Cheers guys.

Ronaldadio,

From my own personal experience I would say poker stars is by far the best.

To save a lot of typing have a look at the write up when you click on the Poker Stars in the header.

Happy Hunting

Multi-tables and bonus combo I'd have to go with Poker.com
Check out the bonuses tab at the top of the charschat.com page and you can get the bonus code for 300% bonus there. Competition is soft on S&G too as you can consistently place in the money.

I currently play at partypoker and its not a bad site (nice graphics, some decent bonuses etc) but what does not impress me is the $300 freeroll tournaments that allow about 10000 entrants. I mean really, what is the point of that? Great if you finish at least 220 or whatever, you win some cash. Does anyone know how far 10 cents will go these days? :D

PartyPoker is ok but you have to battle 5000 players at at time. The sites with 1000/ 2000 are pretty good but plan on playing for 3 or 4 hours.

Played at Absolute this AM Freeroll 4 1/2 hours and I came in 9th out of 1100 My day was shot nothing else done :) but I did win cash. :hello:

Although everyone has there own opinion you have some options here. You can read many site reviews from this site and also read here:[old link~tb]

However if it were my money and I was depositing a good sum of it the only site I would ever consider is Poker Stars. I have never heard anymore than a petty complaint about them. I have a couple friends that deposit and cash out by the Thousands on there and they have never had a problem. Most of Cardschat's elliete players play there. Stars customer service is second to none. They are the only site I know of that you can actualy start with nothing, win a couple of freerolls and pull your money out with no restrictions at all.

I must state again that Stars is like no other and will go down as the best and richest on-line poker site ever.

Hope that helps.:)

Stars has the best selection and software. Titan is good for freerolls and casino games. bodog has a lot of fish and is very easy, never tried the bodog casino or sportsbooke

pokerstars = The shit

Best site out there. hands down.
The only reason I can think of for depositing at another site would be 1) to play in a CC event or 2) to play on a smaller site still in its' promotional beginning stages with hugely overlayed MTTs.

I'm in a roll of pointing out non-obvious things lately, so I'll continue my streak here:

If you live in the EU (which I believe you have to do to play at Ladbrokes) the money you make on Laddies is tax free. The money you make at Stars, won't be.

If that makes any difference to you or influences your decision, I can't say - but I think it's worth pointing out at least.

I've said this a few times in other threads but oh well...

if you like short handed games, the best is certainly supremepoker.com because their short handed games seat 5 instead of 6...the players are very soft. they have a 100% deposit bonus upto $1000...so I played 2-3 short handed tables and the bonus clears quite quickly...in fact, me and several people i know passed the $1000 mark 2-3 months ago and we're still getting deposits in our accounts (shhhhhh) oh...and yeah tax free winnings. It's not operated out of the us.

Wait so any poker site in the US ,you have to pay taxes? Is that because of that new law that is suppose to come out? I was thinking about trying out pokerstars.com but now I dont want to deal with taxes. I am currently on Partypoker and no taxes there . I am confused

Nitram, you may want to look over this link to the IRS website: http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc419.html

I believe you only have to report your winnings over a certain amount...can't recall exactly what the amount is. However, it says you can deduct your losses. Go figure.

Actually, all US players are supposed to report all winnings as income, no matter how small they are. You would then deduct your losses as an itemized deduction on Schedule A of the 1120.

party poker and Stars are my favorite to play at personally (because if you want to play stud h/l or o8 cash games party is the only place to get lots of action) and Stars because of there great variety of tourneys. However, if you're trying to make some real money I recommend playing NL cash games at either Pacific or Bodog both are really soft.

Party isn't as soft as it's cut out to be both above sites are much softer, and Stars cash games are definetly the toughest out of the bunch with full tilt probably being second in that department. Oh and i'm hearing good things about titan I like how you can get money for your titan points might have to deposit there soon. Also WPEX (WorldPokerExchange) is shaping out to be very good, they take your rake and every monday they send it back to your account can easily turn a break even or even a losing player into a winning player.
