Hello I am new to this site and online poker in general. I was wondering what you guys think is the best site to play NL holdem cash games. Mostly micro stakes. I have deposited $50 into Bovada and I am up to $330. Looking to improve my game so that I can crush live at my local casino. Thank you guys in advance for the answers.

Looks like you're doing well on Bovada. Stick with it and run good! Also, Bovada has the most U.S cash game action at this moment.

I would stick with Bovada. It has the largest player pool that I've seen on a site that allows U.S. players, and honestly, the competition is really not that good. Just be prepared that the comp at the local casino will probably be a little better.

You definitely picked the best site around, especially with the fast payouts...and you are doing good so far, best of skill and luck.

Thank you all for the replies. I will stick to bovada for now. Cash games are fairly soft but I still can't beat .25/.50 yet. I am doing reasonably well at .10/.25 however.

Keep playing at 25NL if you're doing well, and maybe play one 50NL table on the side. What makes 50NL hard to beat for you?

I'm not sure. Maybe since my bankroll isn't much, I play a lot more tighter or scared which I feel players at that level take advantage off.

Well you seem to be doing very well at Bovada and it is a great site. minus the anonymity factor. Plus they have the fastest cashouts of all the USA poker sites. Meaning when you feel its time to withdraw your winnings you can get it fast. within a week.
I personally like carbon better but since you are already at bovada i would stick there.

Also take care to realize that online poker and live poker are rally 2 different animals. Live casino play can be very profitable depending on the casino and the time you play. Smaller casinos less known, will have regulars that play there every day = stiffer competition, but weekends at any casino, especially big ones, in the evenings are the best times to grind out. People get drunk ect.

Reason i say this is from experience, i used to grind the 1/2 NL game at foxwoods, weekends from 5pm-12am+ they serve free drinks and its a popular destination for bachelor parties, and events, ect. All kinds of stuf to do there which draws in fishies. Even during the week i could make money.

When i moved to wisconsin, the casino i play at is potowatomi bingo casino. they don't have a hotel (well they are building it now, ready next year) its very small casino. they have a poker room, but like 20 tables.

So i go there during the week sometimes and with the rake at about $10/hr, its hard to make money there. A lot of regulars who are very skilled, stiff competition. I wasn't used to this at Foxwoods. So i try to go on weekends more, because its more profitable.

Take this into account and you should do okay. and good luck!
