What is the difference between America's Cardroom and Black Chip Poker? The look and run exactly the same. You can not run them at the same time on one computer. The tournaments start at same times. ACR seems to have more traffic. Yet, CC endorses BCP because they have a freeroll there. What is the difference?

One other thing.... the sites share players in tournaments. Say I bust out on ACR. I can lose it. Start up BCP and re-enter the same tourney under a different account. That leads me to the next part. I can run an emulator program and have ARC and BCP running at same time (or two separate computers). Then in a tourney, have two accounts playing same tourney. That gives a player an unfair advantage if both accounts end up at the same table.

They are both the same site!

Only do so, if you wish to have both accounts locked down.

They are the same site so when someone enters a tourney on BCP they will show up I'm ACR too. So if you like one you will like the other. The only problem I have with these two sites is the graphocs look like they are from the 90s compared to merge.
And why would you advertise that you are cheating? Thanks though cause now we can report you.

I was not saying I was cheating.... I was saying it could be done with very little effort.

They are both Skins on the Winning Poker Network, there is at least one other skin, True poker, on that network.

In the case of WPN, the network handles the cash, so deposits and withdrawals are essentially controlled by WPN, not the skins. My experiences with BCP have been very good in regards to withdrawals.

Other networks have handled the cash aspects differently. Each skin might have been responsible for the money the players using that skin have in play. So, for example, when BCP was with the Merge network, BCP would have to deal with a committee of all the skins when it came to a once a month meeting to clear up the accounting issues. Merge at one point had at least 40 different skins, and we can't possibly imagine how insane those consolidation meetings must have been. BCP left Merge because they were so insane and their players suffered from that.

Don't try the funny stuff about multiple entries into the same game unless you are willing to lose everything you have invested in all involved sites. Every now and then we see posts about some site locking down a players funds, and we never get the whole story. The TOS (Terms of Service) for each site clearly states they don't have to give a player details about why it happened.

Don't be one of those players. online poker has evolved such that their software will know you are the same person, and if you agreed to the TOS to play there, and you have to, then you also gave them access to your system. Read the TOS for BCP and ACR if you don't believe this.

So, why have different skins if it is the same players? I signed up on BCP and ARC using the same email address. If it allows me to have different accounts on both sites with the same email, it should not have a problem with me busting on ARC and then joining again at BCP. Not saying I would do that but it makes no sense to allow people to sign up on both sites using the same email.

bcp and acr the same site merged?

I just downloaded B.C.P and it is giving me a problem logging in. It is the same problem i have when logging into A.C.R. The software looks the same so i was wondering if it was almost like what merge does with its different skins. Any feedback much appreciated.

??? Not sure, don't recall having any issues last time I logged in although I do recall some people mentioning they get some popup when they try and logon. Perhaps you could post a screenshot of the message. If it is a security message perhaps it is somethng that you need to indicate that you trust it for the site or something.

I don't recall ever having any issues so would have to see what your referring to to be able to assist.

Haven't logged into either in ages, but you mention a certificate error? This usually happens when their SSL certificate expires. Wouldn't be the first time, it has happened with other sites/networks as well.

It's pretty poor IT management to let your cert expire before renewing it when your entire business model is built around customers being able to login, but aside from Stars poker sites aren't historically very strong in the IT (or management) areas, so no huge surprise.

You have to close up the log in window, hit the button to log-in. That should help, it does for me.

I have not had any problems with logging in, not extremely quick but just their splash (?) screen to close.

I do. Don't think this is anything out of the ordinary.

You shouldn't have to do anything to "trust" a new cert if it's issued by a CA. Only if it's self-signed by the site, which I would think unusual. You may be asked to trust an expired cert, in which case it's the same cert they've been using, it's just expired.

BTW I logged into BCP tonight and saw nothing about certificates. So if there was a problem it appears to have been resolved.

Ya, its still doing the same thing to me. A certificate pops up and asks you to trust it to login. Oh well its ok... I will wait until they renew their cert until i depo on bcp/acr. Another thing is when I go to load up bcp/acr it refreshes everything on my comp. All my documents and other poker sites. I wonder what that's about? Just seems funny The WPN network.

Do you think it's possible that this is something on your end considering nobody else is reporting this problem on any forum anywhere?

Yeah, pretty sure there isn't an expired cert problem with either WPN poker client. I've tried both tonight. It would affect everybody if so, therefore it's almost certainly on your end.
