Was looking for an appropriate thread to add this to but was unsure of which one to pick so I'm making a new one for it seeing as there will be many members who will be playing on the Winning Network for the first time.

This weekend BCP & ACR have a tournament on Sunday called 'The Beast'. I'm fairly certain this tourney only runs once per month (overlay? .. maybe not any longer now that BCP has joined the network but it's still a decent tourney worth mentioning imo).
6pm (ET) $50 +5 $50,000guar.
5,000 chips / 15min. blinds (see you there dakota ;) ) with blinds only reaching 30/60 by 1st break! (& 75/150 by 2nd break = good structure!).
I rarely play on ACR but this is one tourney I don't want to miss. With the new add of BCP along with the CC tourney on there at 4pm (ET) it looks like I'll be running into a conflict already (going to have to play 'The Beast' from BCP instead of ACR).

Main reason I'm bringing this tourney to your attention here is because I'm pretty certain it only runs once per month & you might not want to miss it (other reason (obv.) is I'm hoping to get more dead money into it ... dj ? )

see you there!

You don't have to worry about me playing. I know CC supports BC and ACR, but imo I just don't like the look and feel of the rooms there. But good luck to all who play there.

same here acr needs to improve the look and specialy the lack of tourneys and lousy tourneys that are mostly buy ins to higher tourneys like the beast and 50k
also on the table sometimes i confuse a club for spade, once i when all in with 4 spade nut flush lolololollolol

I personally think that WPN is the best choice for americans at this moment of time.

Awesome information, but a bummer for me because i work Monday mornings, if it is starting at 6pm est with that structure it is bound to be a long one.

To those of you that say that they dont like Americas Cardrooms software they will be making a major update and it looks completely different then what it does now. I think there is a post on Cardschat that has a picture of the tables.

There are different options available for 'appearance' - - 4 different choices at present.
They've also got the 4-colour deck option you can use on there.

Agreed with the lack of tournaments in the lobby though (that's the point behind this thread >> to let members know there's a decent $50 buyin this weekend that only runs once per month).

see you there!

Actually this is the 2nd time it is being played so not sure how often it will be in the future (ran Nov 11th). Just remember there will be late registration and re-entries available through the first 2 hours of play.

It should be a great tournament though and best of luck in it!!!

(edited AGAIN for accuracy) :)

This is what I meant when I stated 'once per month' (but not 100% sure about that).. knowing it ran last month & is now approx. 1mth. later. Thought members would want to know about it so they don't have to wait another month to play in it if they happen to miss this time.

Until I see that any of the money I won is real, I am limiting myself to small games. Meaning I will miss this one......Sorry PO.

edit saw WEC gave the answer about that i runs once a month.

Also a lot of entries are gained by cashgameplayers(mostly not good MTT players) that take part in the Beast Progressive race, at the moment of writing 247 cashgame players that made it into this 50K.

Also saw an upcoming 75K (Date of the $75,000 Guaranteed: Jan 13th, 2013 6:00 PM ET)

Well I don't know what some of you mean about the feel and look about ACR. It look better then most US sites like Lock and the rest of the Revolution network. The guarantees are better than Carbon now, since merge been decreasing it every few month. And now CC is hosting freeroll there, what not to love.

I totally agree with you on this and maybe there is a reason why BCP moved over there from merge. Maybe WPN will be the next place for Americans to play versus Merge but time will tell.

Taking it that none of us here made it past level 14 in the beast last night. Apparently it (the tourney) failed somewhere in level 15 and was canceled.

It got close to covering, so it is unlikely this was a panic overlay thing. However, there was an odd thing in the structure page for the number of players involved even if it covered (it needed 1000 players at $50 to cover, last I looked, when I went out, it got 992). For the 900-1100, and above, the structure page showed that the winner got 18% (IIRC) + $7500. There were +monies for all the paid spots.

The percentages added to 100%, (of the prize pool) and for all the world I would normally read that as the Beast having a $50K added structure which is obviously a serious promo, but also a serious overlay, and it makes me wonder.

Also apparently, the prize pool was distributed to all who remain baqsed on chip count.

This was gleaned by me from the BCP rep and other posts at 2+2. When I went out WEC was in good shape, mid 40'sth place. So maybe we will get a first hand report about this in this thread;

Yeah I was in when the blind level got to 16 which the structure amazingly said was the last level with no future blind increases. It was obviously a mistake and possibly when the site discovered this error they decided to shut down the MTT after the cash was made. Not sure how long the tournament may have lasted without another blind increase, but it could have been quite a long run.

The formula paid was Min Cash amount + extra amount based on chips

Also, the tournament made the guarantee with a prize pool of $53,800
