Hi everyone, I had one negative incident this morning from the partypoker team!..I had $100 I earned by playing freeroll tournaments!
I tryed play blackjack this morning (one tactic maybe stupid, but I wanted to try), and one negative sequence happened, I couldn't win 9 hands in a row. Of course, because I was frustrated, I quickly lost all my bankroll.

And then my problem started, I was frustrated with that negative sequence and the loss of bankroll, I sent one message support .. You can read answer and the rest in the thread
"PartyPoker Official Thread" https://www.cardschat.com/forum/pok...ficial-thread-274376/index41.html#post5488731 !

I was banned for 6 months because I lost my bankroll! I have never heard of a player being banked out of the room because he did not adhere to bankroll management!! They no longer allow me to play freerolls, a CardChat tournament, or make a deposit!! What do you think about this?

Bad idea contacting support after losing your bankroll,
They are obliged to help you and exclude you under responsible gambling guidelines.
Would appeal it politely as 6 months is a long time,
Do not be rude with them and be careful with what you say as 6 month exclusion could turn into a ban if you say the wrong things.

Yes long time 6 month!! .. I think they realized I lost all my money actually in life .. Not just those $100 at PartyPoker who won from freerolls.. But this is not fair from their support!

Usually if you request self exclude they take this seriously. I did that in on casino when I lose all money, I requested than permanent selfexclude and now I can't play there and in other sister casinos even i trying after one year to open account again. 6 months will pass, be careful next time.

When you lost all bankroll they think you have problem with gambling.

After losing your bank roll, did you by any chance send them an email taking your frustration out on them?

I didn't request self exclude, that is the problem? They told me I requested, but I didn't! Only I told to him that I had a negative streak in Black Jack 9 time in a row..And that is not real and not want to play that game anymore.. And what is here problem, he banned me after I lost bankroll! No comment
I was frustrated, I wanted to write something to them.

Why do they think that you requested a self-exclusion?

Context definitely matters, but saying I don't want to play anymore to someone in support not aware of your intentions sounds a lot like a request of self-exclusion.
I'm sorry to hear that and hopefully they can reverse the decision for you soon, but you should be more careful with your phrasing, since this doesn't seem like a ban but a miscommunication from your part.

Don't blame partypoker for the six month cool down period. It was your decision to chat with support and make them suspect you may have a gambling problem. They were actually obligated to respond as they did

This is absolutely correct. Lesson here is don't tilt when you lose.

I once wrote to PokerStars tech support!

I lost 560 dollars over the evening!
And tomorrow I was expelled from the casino promotions...

They politely explained that you are not available for casino promotions.
Now I'm even glad that everything is done for the better!

And you should not worry 6 months will fly by quickly!

This is a lesson for us how to protect your bankroll.

Casino is evil

No they were not. According to PartyPokers own homepage, self exclusion is a mutual agreement between the player and the poker site, which the player can request for. This is sort of common sense also. SELF exclusion means ME, not someone else like a staff member from support.

What realistically happened here is, that OP send an angry email about this casino game, which he maybe thought was rigged, used the words "I dont want to play that game any more" to express his disgust, and then some staff member read that as a wish for self exclusion, which it was not.

Now I dont want to be rude to anyone here, but jobs as support staff for some online service, a telecommunication company, or whatever, are usually poorly paid, and as a result people working them are often without much work experience or qualifications of any kind. And that certainly seem to be the case here.

I think, OP should just laugh about this and then find another site to play poker. And after, what happened, a short cool down period might not be the worst thing in the world ;)

Show us the email you sent them after you lost the money.

Yep something is missing.... "The action was taken in response to the information you provided us"

Self exclusion is something, a player can ask for. It is not something, the poker site decides based on "information".

Fundiver, allow me to explain.

Consider if OP went up to the customer service desk at a live casino and made the same comments. Do you think they could allow him back on the floor to continue playing? That would be:

1) A breach of the gaming license, which could be revoked by the applicable state authority, or subject to fines and disciplinary action
2) OP could claim against the casino for the recovery of his losses, for negligently allowing him to continue playing after it became apparent he had a problem.

It's the same reason that a bar cannot keep serving alcohol to a visibly intoxicated patron. Not only they could lose the liquor license, they could also be civilly liable if that same patron goes out and crashes a car.

If a player contacting support shows signs of addiction and a lack of responsibility when playing casino games, the site has the right and obligation to exclude the player from such practices that could further harm them financially and psychologically.
Partypoker as many other online poker sites take gambling addiction very seriously and so does their support.

Well we don't know what the information was since he left that out.

It doesn't matter that the wording "self exclusion" is used. They blocked him.

I certainly think, they would allow him to come back another day yes. I dont think, they would ban him from the casino for 6 month, and I dont think, they would break any license or whatever by not doing so. A bar can also serve a previously intoxicated person, if he comes back another day, when he is sober.

PartyPoker handled this incidence laughably bad, and I honestly dont understand, why anybody wants to defend them. But as I said already, OP should just accept, what happened, and move on. And he does obviously have a tilt problem, which he should adress. Finally it sounds to me like, you are talking about US law. But PartyPoker does not offer their services to customers in the US, so this fall under the jurisdiction of some other country.

Like everybody already said
They have to do that, it's in the law.
If they don't take things like this serious the will be fined.
So when they have a doubt they will ban someone just to be sure.
