Well i deposited $50 at party poker (no bonus but not bothered) and have withdrawn that amount again and left $40 on there.
So i am even with money to gamble and withdraw. I feel like typing up my progress, and with my new found discipline, i hope to make many more withdrawals.

To begin with i have a few questions:

~Would you suggest cashing out smallish amounts now and then (and stay roughly the same), or keep any profit on the site so i can, in time, rise up the limits?
~I play NL, and the smallest limits are 0.10/0.25 with a table max of $25. Do you think i have ample cash for these limits?

Thanks

wow...played on a NL table and my AQ was called the whole way to the river where i went all in...an ace on the board and he had A8 and hit an 8 on the river.
went down to $20 but i am back up to $39.75 from $6 SnG's.
Came:
-3rd
-1st
currently in another one

The second SnG, i killed them. Hit Quad K's and two guys went all in with 99 and QQ...i had the KK. Then i got it again the hand after...knocked out another guy. Then a bit later hit trip Q's put another guy out. Finally heads up and i killed him.

1. Well I prefer to keep my money onsite so I can indeed feel more secure with the limits I play. But it matters what limits your goal is to play at, if your goal is just to keep playing .10/.25 you might as well withdraw whenever you make $50 or so.

2. No you don't have ample cash in the technical sense. You have less than 2 full buyins, and the recommended is 10. However, I do know .10/.25 is a pretty simple limit to stay profitable at. If you plan to stay at .10/.25 I recommend you keep $100 onsite (once you get there) and probably cash out every $50 you make over the $100.

If you would like to move up limits and your goal is to make a nice side income, you should do the basic bankroll plan. You start at .10/.25, the buyin there is $25 so you should technically have $250 to play there so your starting behind but it doesn't really matter.

Once you hit $500 which is a full 10 buyins for .25/.50 you should move up to .25/.50. If you lose 5 buyins which will drop you to $250 you than move back to .10/.25 till you reach $500 again. And following this plan 1k would be the ideal bankroll for .50/$1.

Yeah this process is very slow (especially when you have to drop back down) but it's the safest way to advance limits without being in bankroll trouble. I tried this once, but I gave up after a week or so (mostly because I don't like NL cash games) but it's very exhaustive doing this.

Not Bad

Sounds like your doing alright. I just started playing for $ online too. Put $50 on FTP Wednesday night. Broke even that night and didn't play yesterday. But today I played 3 SNG in a row, won the first two, and got second in the last. Doubled up to $100 right now, hopefully I can keep this streak going. Done for the night though, keep posting, i'd like to see how your doing.:D

My god...worst day of poker in my life. Played SnG's and tables for a few hours and got the hell beat outta me. The bad beats i got. AK beaten by A5 (234 board) QQ beaten by A6 after i went allin. Tons i cant remember. At one point went down to $12
Played today though and i am back up to $60, with a pending SnG in action.

Up and down like a YoYo, but at least i earned a few Partypoints :D I can now claim a mouse mat or a stress dice.

I'm holding out for the money clip :) Actually want the laptop but 350k is an ungodly amount of points, wish they were easier to earn like FPP points at stars.
