Hi, I've just registered new account on pokerstars with all new email address and login etc.. (Basically abandoned the old account in order to take PokerSchoolOnline marketing code when registering, you know it gives free tickets etc.. )

https://ibb.co/c5xLSQ

And when doing Beginners bankroll Challenge #3, it says go to forum and post about yourself etc.. I did it like it said.
But after few minutes I've got this email.. Without further details.

I've asked them to clarify my ban reason and they said this:

https://ibb.co/mQ5ogk

How could it be even possible? PokerStars really suck like this? :(

Edit: Sorry if I posted in wrong section.

If that's the case, Is it possible to tell them simply delete my old account etc?
I've found PokerStars support is pretty harsh

You, knowingly, violated the terms of service. They won't remove the original account and let you use the new one. There might have been a slim chance of them removing the second account and seizing all the funds in it, and allowing you to continue using the original account, but they don't have to do that. I know I had a friend who created a second account (years ago, before Black Friday) and they banned him. He was able to explain it was an honest mistake, he was trying to change his player ID and didn't know it was against the rules, and they eventually allowed him to use his original account. But, that's not something they 'have' to allow. And, it's unlikely to happen if they believe the second account was created to abuse new player promotions.

In any case, it looks like you're out of luck. There are other sites. Come play on them. At least you're banned from PS due to your own misbehavior. I'm forbidden from playing due to the unfortunate circumstances of my birth (living in the US).

you could see it from the start. Actually that applies not only to PS. Don't try to do the same trick in other rooms, cos you'll be creating a bunch of new threads with the same issue.

You can try and explain things to them. You probably won't get them to change their mind. But, if you explain that the first account wasn't intended to be your real account, you never played real money on it, and that it was a misunderstanding they might work something out. If you get really lucky, they might even allow you to keep your deposited funds (or what remains of them) and move them to the original account.

I will be honest, I don't think the odds are good that they reverse the decision. But, you have nothing to lose by explaining the situation and asking forgiveness. It works in your favor that you never deposited or played real money on the first account. They could still say, "no." But, then you are in the same spot you are right now. If they do decide to forgive you, then you're better off, even if you lose some of the money you've made from promotions.

You did agree to their rules when you signed up, even if you didn't read them or understand them completely. So, you don't really have a defense. You can only hope that they feel sympathetic and offer you a second chance.

According to PokerStars rules, players are not allowed to open more than one account, nor can you close the old one to create a new one. In this case, it is fraud. In order to fully restore the functions of your account, you need to contact support and I think that PokerStars will require an explanation on this matter. In the future, I think that PokerStars will ask you for a signed agreement not to violate the rules and will leave only the first account.

Very good point and explanation, thank you.
I hope at least they talk to me and listen my situation.

I wrote account deletion request to PS support. Not sure it's bad call or good call ...

If there's one thing I like about Pokerstars, it's that they seem fairly merciless in banning cheaters. Cool. I hope they keep it doing it consistently.

multiple accounts is not allowed on PokerStars and, I believe in all the sites that you enter, will find the same rule, you tried to benefit from this new account and was banned
In poker school it is even more rigid because you can participate in the most promotions being a member

Like others said, if you already have an account then that's probably why they banned you.

Harsh eh, that's funny. A site that expects you to follow the rules, what a bunch of ***** they must be. Thanks for the heads up, I shall avoid them.

Try to explain to them what's what. They can block your second account and leave the very first. I know a few people who forgave this stupidity. The main thing correctly write them a letter. Good luck.

I guess you may have skipped reading the terms of your account with Stars. This would be considered a violation and they have the right to ban you from their site if they choose.

Isn't it prohibited to have multiple accounts on PokerStars or any poker site for that matter? They surely must have found out you had another account.

Yes - the only reason to have multiple accounts is to cheat, in one of a number of ways. No reputable site will allow it.

I understand your complaint. Its a good thing that we have other sites to play at... Bad customer service has consequences...

It's kind of ironic speaking of Pokerstars as being a White Knight vis-a-vis fraud considering their dark past:

The charges of violating the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act and the operation of an illegal gambling business are suspect because of the gray area regarding the legality of online poker. The money laundering charge also relies on online poker being considered an illegal gambling business. The most serious charge is bank fraud. The indictment alleges that the sites tricked U.S. banks into accepting Internet gambling transactions by disguising the transactions to create the false appearance that they were unrelated to gambling.

I'm not saying that PokerStars is a white knight. It's about keeping the rules of PokerStars.

P.S. Where there is big money, there will always be scoundrels.
