I doubt it will ever become a WSOP event, but who knows. I think it might actually have a good chance of catching on. I think PokerStars is on the right track in trying to find out how popular it will become. The only site I know of that has it is Carbon, and while not as wildly popular as holdem, seems to have a loyal following. I've only been there maybe 8 - 10 months, but the competition in there is getting better. PS has a much bigger audience, so we'll see. I think Badugi has a great appeal. First off, it's not an idiot game like razz, although there is the low theme. In fact, I think it mirrors holdem in a lot of ways. The rules are actually quite simple, but.... and I'm no pro, but can tell you the drawing and betting strategies are trickier than initially meets the eye. Not to mention possible bluffs, which are tougher in a drawing game where eveyone can see your cards.
