Dear All,

I recently joined a site (Titan) through a promotion with taxas calculatem and have not received the registration code as promised some 3 weeks ago. Titan are not interested and taxas calculatem just do not reply to emails. I gave up in the end and resigned myself to the fact I would not be getting the code.

I have since had another issue with Titan who out of kindness have given me a tournment ticket for being a good customer and for tournment I am already regiestered in. So aigain i contact their support to explain and ask them to extend the expiry date on the ticket so at least i can use it.

Again no assistances.

I am now looking at moving to another poker site but do not want to go through the stress of dealing with bad customer service.

Have any of you had an issue and was the poker room helpful.

Let me know as this will help be decide where to make my next deposit.

Thanks

Usually the same answer when someone asks for a site recommendation - pokerstars. They've got the best customer service i'm aware of, and are pretty much best at most other things to. You're preaching to the choir as far as Titan is concerned :(

Yeah, with Titan you never know what you're going to get. At times, I would receive the most fantastic service I could possibly hope for. Other times, they were so completely inept, it was all I could do to keep from pulling my hair out!!

Rob gives a good recommendation, and I think most people here will echo that. poker stars is by far one of the best sites out there.

Oddly enough, I have been having problems with Titan in the last 24 hours.

I am trying to transfer some $$ to a CC buddy there. You would not believe how clunky their player transfer system is.

Whenever you email or use the online chat to talk to Titan support, they are very polite and pleasant but totally useless for anything beyond the most basic rookie-level advice.

They don`t answer the phone, either, so don`t waste your time with that.

And another thing ......

Every online chat with their support always ends with them giving you a little message about their "Refer a Friend" program. I think it may be a pre-programmed signoff.

Now, if you have taken the trouble to talk to support, as often as not it will be because you are dissatisfied about something. Therefore, to sign off by urging you to refer a friend seems highly inappropriate and leaves you feeling that they are taking the p*ss.

Ack! Egon, cease and desist!!! That is, if you want to be able to play with this person after the transfer. I once talked to support about player-to-player transfers, and was informed that they would require all sorts of ID, etc., to do it. On top of which, the two players transferring funds would no longer be able to play at the same table together. Not worth it IMO.

Yea, thanks JQ. You`ll gather I was trying to transfer to Steve.

It didn`t go through in the end, so I`m hoping I`ll have no problems, but they were really funny about it, just as you say.

I told them that their Player Transfer system really sux compared with other sites. I told them it`s not a good selling point. I also told them that I (and my friend to whom I wanted to transfer) are both leading posters at this forum and we would go and tell thousands of other players about their poor service. I didn`t get the impression that they cared a jot about any of that.

Because I`m peeved with them now, I have withdrawn a big chunk of my BR to neteller. I`ll transfer it to another site. No point in giving Titan my rake if they are going to be a-holes.

It`ll be interesting to see if the withdrawal goes through smoothly. I`ll keep you posted.

Here is a thought:

We have a new series of CC tournaments starting at Titan tomorrow. This presumably means that we must have a current contact there.

Is there anything that Nick or the mods can do to help Steve with his problems ? If it is because of the player transfer thing, it might help to tell Titan that both Steve and I are long-standing members here, and no way are we colluders or cheaters.

Point them at this thread, actually. That should tell them all they need to know.

I also agree with you, I talked to pokerstars customer service, and they were very helpful.

Join Fulltilt, there customer service is very good.

Plus, the layout is quite nice and easy to understand, but the competition in some of the mid-high stakes is tough tho.

Update

My withdrawal went through OK.

So, apparently I am not a criminal and don`t have to turn myself in to the nearest policeman for attempting to transfer money to a friend.

That`s good to know. :)

I'm glad I can't play there even if I wanted to.

It`s actually a very good site/network. High traffic, lots of MTTs and STTs to choose from, nice interface, runs smoothly.

It`s only when you contact one of their people that you become disappointed. In all honesty, they don`t seem to be very bright, and they talk to you in a manner that suggests they think you are even more dumb than they are.
