A few downloadable poker rooms have viruses in them so watch out what you download. They take up most of your CPU usage which really slows down your computer speed. Stick to the sites that are well known and recommended.

yes, i joined a site which specialises in the health of your computer. They mentioned to me many times that these poker sites slow down your comp.
1 or 2 is fine but when you have a lot of them like i do, it takes a lot of space on your hard drive and some also bring spyware. This gives your info out to third parties and also brings loads of popups and crap like that.

I would suggest if you download lots of different sites, delete all the ones you arent regularly play at and leave the setups on your computer in a seperate file. THis way you can load anysite you want in a matter of seconds so it doesnt take up all that room on your cpu. This is what I do and I find it is very useful.

I constantly run all my spyware and virus scans when downloading anything.. Your computer only slows down if you are running mulitple programs at once and if your video card can only hold so much memory..

Other than that no having multiple applications on your pc really doesn't slow it down.
