Anyone play on Intertops? Is this payout structure odd?

Hello all, I was playing a 5$ mtt at intertops and couldn't help but notice what seemed to be a ridiculous payout structure:
there were 115 entrants.
places paid: 45
45-37: 3.45$
36-28: 3.74$
27-19: 4.31$
18-16: 5.75$
15-13: 7.19$
12-10: 8.62$
9-1 all varied w/ 1st getting 111$

does this seem unusual to anyone else? My guess they are just trying to be more new player friendly by reducing variance

*edit i should note that it was deep stack turbo

+1 on the new player friendly i guess that the new player figures if i only lost xxx then id be fine but considering ive never done that i wouldent know.
