Hi all I was just wondering, if anyone else has noticed that FT seems to be running better? Last week I submitted a bug to them about the amount of CPU any action on an FT table was using. At the time any action was using 100% of my CPU and it would cause blips in music and often really bad lag.

The very next day, there was an update that only changed the fulltiltpoker.exe file. This problem has been plaguing FT forever, but now it seems to be almost gone. I am watching my Task Manager right now and with 5 tables open, I am seeing very little CPU usage.

Please let me know if you are experiencing any improvements......

Funny thing is that I have been saying that they had poor programmers all along. To me this would have been one of the first things to check when so many people were complaining about this issue.

Have a good day and lotsa luck on and off the felts.

I've also experienced simalar problems. The update seem to have reduced the issue but the problem has come back since.

What's your hardware? I've played on different pc's and latops, but the problem seems to come back more often on my toshiba laptop.

I just use my older 2.4 celeron 1Gig with a 128 meg video. Will not put poker sites on Quad Core work PC.

For anyone still experiencing lag, try turning down the priority of FullTiltPoker.exe in your Task Manager

Open task Manager(Control+Alt+del or right click bottom bar) highlight fulltiltpoker.exe under Processes and select set priority. Choose below normal first.

Hopefully this helps.

I have a pretty fast connection and I two have somewhat noticed some temporary freezing from time to time. But other than that, it runs smoothly for me.

Mine's started doing that since the latest update - animation is still there when pots I win are shipped to me, but not when anyone else wins. No effect on the actual game, but it did seem odd.

*raises eyebrows*

Odd. I can't see any logical reason for that happening - it shouldn't take any more processing power for your PC to show the table you're playing on in an MTT than it should for it to show your single cash game table or SnG. The processing for an MTT is carried out at the server end.

I seem to always have problems when ever I TRY to play in their FRS--But it's FINE at CC FRs--go figure? When I'm in their FRs, FT will usually just go KAFLUEY!!! And I can't see the players or the bets or anything for that matter! But at the CC FRs everything runs just fine!? It's for that reason I'm afraid to deposit real money at FT!

yesterday i played a 3400 player mtt at FT, cards were not showing, the cards would freeze on the screen for a second then come to to me, got disconnected once, in 6 years ive only been disconnected from FT 2 times, yesterday and about 2 weeks ago, today it was fine, i think its on the servers side though, kept saying on the screen They were trying to connect me back to the game, hope they fix it rite soon,, buck:)

Wont that just give priority to another poker site if you have another one open:confused:

Only problem I have at Full Tilt is when I sometimes click on Tourney Info, the whole thing freezes and i have to close the site and reopen.

No katymaty. This will actually only free up CPU that FT originally tries to use. If you check most other sites will only use between 5 and 30%. For some reason it seems that FT is pushing too much of the processing power onto it's users, instead of running most from the server.

apart from the tourney info prob I'm ok with FT when i checked earlier it was only 2%. Problems for me is Cake sometimes up to 90 and Carbon.

Thanks for the tip, next time on cake I'll try it:)

Just looked at mine, FT is using 1%...

As I have said in other post Full Tilt disconnects me regularly, in yesterdaysfreeroll I was disconnected every hand, and it will not reconnect me by itself If I wait forit to reconnect me I will be waiting forever, so what I do is shutdown FT and then restart it, that way I get back while it is still my turn. A few days ago while this problem was happening I played in our Guys Vs Gals game and I did not get one disconnect, but sine then every time I try to play at FT the disconnects happen again. I reported it to them via their bug repoting and they replied that there was nothing they can do about it.

You should consider ringing up your provider and find out if they changed anything. EG: new cables, new servers, or maybe there's even a problem with the cable running to your house.
A friend of mine had a big chunk out of his phone line cable cause his mom had cut it while doing some front yard work

I'm on ADSL which, as you probably know i through the phone lines, and Full Tilt is the only place I have trouble with. Also I have noticed lately that other ppl on the same table as me at FT are being diconnected repeatedly.

Wish I could help you man but I'm stumped.
I had loads of discon problems with FT myself during july and early August.
But if was my internet being shit. Disconnecting every 5 mins, and not only on tilt, but browser, msn and everything else.

This is a long shot, but maybe email tilt and ask them if it has anything to do with you being Australian ?
Sounds far fetched but maybe they are under appreciating the Aussie fellow man.
Damn that sounded really far out there :confused::D
