Does anybody know anything more about US players getting their money back from FT? I have read numerous articles saying it's a work in progress, or saying we have to take it up with the government to get it back. I'm just wondering if anyone has some new information about how or when or even if we'll ever be able to get it back...

You definitely will have to make a claim with the government to get it back, but AFAIK there is still no real information.

Ok but how do I go about filing a claim, and who do I file it with? If there is a thread or an article anywhere that would assist me can someone post it or point me in the right direction please.

I read somewhere that one would basically have to get a lawyer to get his or her money. I think the article was on Casino City Times website,

I read that it has to be taken up with the Department of Justice, but I wouldn't know how to file a dispute with them. And if hiring a lawyer would be necessary I wouldn't bother. I only have about $230 so wouldn't be worth hiring a lawyer for, would just be nice to get that money that I earned.

This is the DOJs general Overview of Remission Process, not specifically related to Full Tilt. Last information given by the DOJ said the claims administrator would begin working on it this month. Could still be a very long time before they figure it out.

Yeah from reading that it doesn't make me confident that I will see anything anytime soon. Thanks for posting that though.

From what i've heard, it's something that they're working on. As you know FT won't be refunding the money but the government will, Full Tilt seem quite helpful on twitter regarding this issue, so i'm sure if you asked them then they'd be happy to help with any questions you have. Luckily I line in the UK and it all got sorted fairly smoothly. I hope you get answers soon

I got an email once, maybe last summer, that said all claims will have to go through the DOJ. They said they are working on the details. I have not heard anything since then. I was able to get all my original deposit back by buying books, DVDs, cards, chips, etc. from the store before they actually closed the site. Unfortunately I didn't get all that I ordered. I have just writting my winnings off as a loss and don't worry about Full Tilt anymore.

Judging by the way the government has worked lately, they have already stolen your money.

I actually think we will get our money - eventually. The DOJ is hiring a third-party payment administrator to process all of this. The administrator will develop a claims process and players that wish to be reimbursed will have to follow whatever protocol the administrator establishes.

Wish they'd get on with it....
