That's the one I'm starting on and I was wondering if anyone else around here plays there, and what the general opinion of it is when compared to other poker sites.

Bump.

Also wondering what poker sites have more players than Lock Poker? Ones that allow U.S players.

Just to clarify
Merge=Lock
& Merge = Carbon, BlackChipPoker, Lock, HERO, Aced, PDC, etc.
So when you're playing on tables on Lock, the others on your table could be logged in from a number of other merge network sites (they share most tables, aside from special tourneys/priv. tourneys).

Personally I'd sign up at Carbon first, BlackChip 2nd. My preference is so that I'm able to play in the Cardschat tourneys held each week.

fwiw, I have heard good reviews regarding Lock & CC did hold a handful of freerolls on there awhile ago (so maybe there'll be some more at some point?)

Merge is a great group, they have easy deposit methods to do, but withdrawing on these sites is not the easiest for americans of course with the laws and things happening here. The players on the site are same as any poker site not any different.

So are all merge sites same deposit methods? withdrawl? etc.? Being that they're different companies I figured they'd be slightly different?

When you say > "The players on the site are same as any poker site" Are you inferring that they're the same players across the merge network 'or' same as any players you'd find on any poker site? (because my experience has been > different sites the play is quite a bit different!)

Yes they all share the same cashier. Lock has done shady things in the past tho (do a search on google)

Apparently not, since Lock Poker Cashouts are reported as significantly faster than most other Merge Skins.

I haven't had many problems at all with lockpoker they have treated me well, but support takes awhile to get back to you and are not too effective.

Can't stand Lock Poker support. Very recently I sent them my documentation to get my account verified so I could make a withdrawal. Got a fairly quick response saying to expect an update within 1 to 3 days. About a week goes by with no response so I send a follow up email and don't get a response. Waited another few days and sent another email, no response. Another week and 3 more emails later, every one totally ignored, no response indicating there is a delay, nothing, just completely ignored me. Finally I saw a post from Rizen on 2p2 about the delays so I PMd him my account info and he sent an email directly to Lock support asking them to at least give me a status even if I wasn't verified yet. Another few days go by still with no response. I emailed support and Rizen again indicating I still hadn't gotten a response and finally they emailed me back apologizing for the delay and indicating I was now verified. I wouldn't have even cared if they told me up front it was going to take 2+ weeks to verify my account, as long as they stayed in communication with me and gave me some indication there was a delay, but just ignoring a half dozen emails over 2 weeks (including one by their own site representitive) before responding to people is just not an acceptible level support. Who knows how long they would have continued to ignore me had Rizen not gotten involved.

On the flip side, same day I send my documentation to Cake Poker and get a response saying my account is verified in less than an hour. I know Cake withdrawals are notoriously slow, but at least their support gets back to me in a reasonable timeframe and doesn't completely ignore my emails.

Lock never responded to the Girah scandal, and I'm also not a big fan of their support.
