Anyone else think Full Tilt should change this?

I'm not sure if Full Tilt ever will, or if anyone agrees on this, but I think there should be a time limit when people register for a game and don't come back. Most of the games can be registered for in advanced, so a lot of the time I see about 200 PLUS players not even playing, this sucks for many reasons;

One, players might be sat at a table where they are the ONLY one playing, I've had this happen a lot. Most people like it, you can get 12k chips in like 10mins, but I don't. I come to play, win or lose.

Two, it slows down the whole process of the game, eventually they get widdled out by blinds, but still.

Three, I understand everyone should have their chance at the game, but if you're not there for it, you're not. I don't think anyone likes going heads up immediately either when you're NOT at final table haha.

I think there should be a 10min 'GET YOUR ASS TO YOUR COMP':pcguru: wait, then somehow pull the players who are not there and aren't going to be.

I don't know, maybe I'm just ranting. Anyone else agree? Or think there's a reason 200plus players who are not there...need to be there?:)

I couldn't agree more. I hate when the game starts and all but me and one other person is playing and the other one keeps going all in all the time....i wait for the primo hand and mostly get knocked out by rags from them. There are sites that let you sit out something like 15 hands then you get the boot. i wish the big sites did the same.

i agree especially in the freerolls you sometimes get half a table who just never play and take ages to be blinded out, they should set a hand limit of say inactive for 20 hands!

Oh yea, I've been hit with the one donk going all in every hand, I understand they make 'rank' but shit, they're freerolls! Ha, don't the creators spill dime in those? But yea, I can't assume they don't want 200 more 'players online' using their site, so.... grrrrr :(

Totally agree, boot the sitters! Even more maddening is the 1's that sit the 1st 30 or 40 mins, the join & donk their way into chip-lead. I have had that happen so many times, go all with top pair, they suck-out a str8 with 3 7 off.

what happens to me is players will lose half to three fourths of their chips in the first hand and sit out the rest of the game.
how about the alll-iners every hand. then you get good cards and get beat with rags.

Absolute is the only one I know of that will boot you after the 1st level of inactivity. However, once they did it to me, and I WAS there, but folded every hand, as I got nothing but crap cards. But once you play that one hand, you're good for the duration.

I've had it happen (OFTEN at Carbon, where you have 2 hours before the tourney to sign up), that is was me alone or me & one other guy. Even getting a good, fair player (no all-ins), it was a pain because 1) you cannot sit out a few hands, cuz your blinds will eb quickly stolen, or he'll steal blinds that YOU should be stealing :p , and 2) as the blinds to up, you're barely keeping even, while stacks at other tables are growing.

Honestly, it's not been a problem at FT. Never had more than 3 or 4 sitting out the whole game, usually just 1 or 2. Sometimes, I like to sit out the early donkfest, or am pretty tight about the hands I'll play until some of the donks are gone, or I can at least make note of who's betting what. But wouldn't be opposed to booting folk after 2 levels of inactivity, so 20 minutes.

FT isnt the only one.

Doyles room does a $300 tournie in the evening, and it can have 3000 registered.

One night I played right the way up to blinds of 150/300 before I had anyone to play against. I just raised and the computer automatically folded everyone.

I ended up winning something like $12 having hardly come up against any opposition..

Boring as hell, but a good way to build up a bankroll if you've got the patience..

Nice, but at stars when there are 12000 people in the turny and only the top 99 get in to the next round it makes for a long process. Maybe i should just change sites

This doesn't happen often on fulltilt. you say alot, that's not true. Unless you are talking strictly freerolls as it looks like most responses are from other FRW's.

Ya table ticks suck. Ticks sucks the blood from a animal and table ticks suck the fun out of the game. When I find myself at a table with one or two others I've made deals to spit the hand and not steal each others blinds. I've found many go for that. Either way it sucks when you have table ticks.

The absent players must be eliminated after the first round (the first level), do not leave me to play with comfort, your blinds decentralize me of game, it is inconvinient to play a heads up having in the table absent players.
Ftp should solve this.
Everything else of ftp this one very well.

I agree, after first level, not there, you get booted, speak of the devilish style of play, at a table right now.

Me and...who?

Oh yea, that ONE other person.

Great.

I agree with KingTurd. When you're at a table with a bunch of sitters, you usually can switch off with any other active players at the table, and take turn taking down the blinds. Gives you more room to play your style later on the tournament.

I have tried that a few times. Some people are cool with it but when you have to explain how and when they should fold when it'd my BB then it gets to be a bit much. It has worked well the few time we did work it out. we will see at the next one.

Well, if wanted heads up, I'd play a heads up SNG. I come for a tourney because it's a tourney. So...haha :)

free chips with no risk .....whats the problem ?
is it that you cant 10 times your chips in first 5 minutes......
or is it that you bust out before someone that isn't even there ?

anyone that dislikes players sitting out of a tourny doesn't understand tournament play

play in a real money tournament ....and see how many sit-outs there are.....not too many........

because it's a DISATVANTAGE to sit out during a tourny....and every sit-out at your table INCREASES your advantage

(in freeroll donkfests I often sit out for the first 30 minutes or so just to let most of the bingo morons punch themselves out)

You are 100% correct, but, what upsets me even more is the LATE registrations allowed on FT & pokerstars. You could enter a tourney assuming you're facing a relativley small to medium size field (40-50 players). Then, 10 mins after the game starts you're now up against 100-120 players! Now that really sucks if time was a factor in your tourney choice.

I don't know if i agree with that, cause it happens to me to be late, sometimes even half an hour late to a tourney. The other neg side of this would be that you won't allowed people to leave their sit for a while, as they would be sit out too. I mostly meet sit out with big stacks. I know that Absolute push out the sitout after the first blind level if they don't sit in. Maybe you should try this room.

Oh yea, that new feature on FT sucks, but in money games it builds up the prize pool, so that I DO like, just not in freerolls, I want as little ppl as possible haha:)
