Hi All,
I just wondered if anyone else gets this while playing at certain poker rooms, I don't want to mention names but while playing in two particular poker rooms I seem to lose connection when i'm holding a winning hand, I don't mean my internet connection, I mean the poker room loses it's connection to the server and re-connects when i've been timed out. I'm not sure if this is a tech problem with these cardrooms or wether they can actually do this on purpose to alter the outcome of a game. I don't want to believe this actually happens which is why i'm asking others if they get the same thing happen to them. This is not just occasionally either, it happens so often that i've had to stop playing at these two places in question.
A prime example is my all-in bets, I was playing one game and i'd been dealt pocket aces and flopped the full house, I knew by the turn card it was unbeatable so went all-in, it promptly lost connection to the server and re-established connection about 1 minute and 30 seconds later, just in time for me to see my cards folded as I didn't act in time.
Anyone else had something similar happen to them and at what poker rooms? Might be an interesting thread if it isn't just me.

Yes it does happen at times but sometimes its just that a player may be playing another game at another site or most times it can be the software and a e-mail to support can often times solve the problem

Thanks Nick

Hi all,
Thankyou for moving the post to the correct place Nick.
And thankyou Geica for your reply. I've had connection problems before, usually it might happen once or twice due to so many people accessing the site at one time and the server not being able to keep a stable connection with so many but in this particular case i'm talking about it happening up to 8 or 9 times in a matter of an hour but more specifically only when I either made a large bet or went all-in, it hasn't bothered me in a while since deleting the poker rooms in question and the poker rooms I play now it's never happened to me since. It just made me think that perhaps even though they don't need to be there might just be one or two "rogue" poker rooms out there.
It also led me to my decision of writing in depth reviews on the places I have played so poker players have advance knowledge on wether a place is worth depositing at or wether your taking a chance.
I would also like to hear from players that have cashed out at the poker rooms they play at and hear about not just the ones which pay and how fast but also bad experiences some of you may have had. If there are bad poker rooms which don't pay people when they win I would like to know about them as I feel future players are entitled to know about the places where "not to go" as well as the good ones.
There is a vast amount of "rogue" or bad casinos on the net and poker is more popular than casinos right now so chances are there'll be a couple of bad ones, it would be nice if I can have just great poker rooms on my site only but if there is a dodgy one then it should be listed too I think.
Wow, that's the longest "thankyou" post i've ever done, sorry I got carried away, I'll be off now.
Good luck at the tables.

I've only been "booted" on my dsl line which never has problems, all 4 times same site, all four times with all in final hand on stt when i had monkey nuts on river versus other two or one player, everytime pot split evenly.

Gee maybe THATS why I dont play there anymore. I can see if the boots happened sporadically, but they ONLY happened on all ins heads up or threeways on stt for the money.

Instead of being paranoid which any reasonable person would be within their rights to feel I just left, now they cant get nada.

I'd like to say the name of the poker site but hate to give the bastards free advertising.

I had a similar problem on Betholdem.com. Whenever you're at a table and click to check on your acct. balance, you cannot click on the bet buttons, etc. It's showing up perfectly with your mouse cursor, etc. but it won't let it click. I had pocket K's and I watched as they were folded right before my eyes. :(

I can't say with authority, but if you don't trust the online site, don't play there. You can never be effective with that kind of concern weighing on your mind. Just my .02

Its happened to me but i never thought of it that way. Always thought it was just my badluck. Things that make you go hmmmm. Well on another note but possibly similar one I cashed out about a year and a half ago about $3200 from an initial $50 dep. on Party and ever since that time have not been able to win any substantial amount there. Granted I havent played there in over a year except for the free $25 bucks they send me to hook me, plus free baseball hat and shirt they sent me along with a "We miss you" letter. I enjoy these smaller sites like noble. Well I think i just raised palirwin's .02 with my .04

There might just be some dodgy ones :(

Hi all,
Well it looks like I might just have to list some bad poker rooms on my site too, i've heard two disturbing stories on the same poker room, one from a very reliable source, both regarding a poker room called bospoker. I would like to hear from anyone who has heard of these or more preferable someone who has actually played there. Both complaints i've heard is that they will use let's just say very tactful terms/excuses not to pay you.
Appreciate any feedback regarding this poker room/post. I'm also going to try and speak with the owners to see what they have to say, i'll let you know how it goes.
Good luck at the tables :)

Regarding my last post

Hi all,
Regarding my last post i've sent an email to the poker room in question, got a very quick response and up to this point based on my personal contact with them everything seems ok. I will create an account with these guys and play a little there and see what happens.
Regarding the two complaints i've heard it is always possible that players don't always see eye to eye with poker room owners and i'm going to ask more about these two complaints as one of them was quite disturbing so I want to find out if it's true or not from a personal view.
I did mention one was from a reliable source and I still believe the person in question is trustworthy but there is always the possibility something along the line has been misinterpreted.
Wanted to do a follow up and i'll do another if I find out any more info regarding this.
Would still like to hear from anyone else who has played here either good or bad as I can't dismiss a poker room because they haven't paid two players until I find out for sure what the exact reasons behind it were.
Am I ok making these kind of posts here Nick? If not let me know and I won't in future and you can delete these two.
Good luck all :)

Re: Misunderstandings

Hi all,
Just a little follow up really just to point out to anyone playing freeroll tournaments at whatever poker rooms they are playing at. If you haven't made a deposit before and are playing freerolls, please check the poker rooms terms & conditions especially regarding playthroughs on bonuses and cashouts on bonus moneys, this applies to freerolls as well.
My earlier posts indicated there was either a misunderstanding either on the poker room or the individuals part. Truth is money acquired through either bonuses or playing freerolls can have very strict terms attached to them.
I know a lot of people know this already but I also think there are a lot that haven't even thought about it.
Some example terms and conditions are:
If you win a freeroll you may be required to play your winnings 15 times or more before you can actually cash out.
Some may even require you to actually make a deposit before you can cash out any free money won.
To be sure, if it's not listed in their faq section or terms then email and ask. A decent poker room will get back to you within 48hrs.
