In a recent post I noted that ignition Poker is experiencing significant connection issues, lag, freeze ups, etc over the past few weeks. While this alone isn't enough to make me want to no longer play on a site, these other issues over the past few months have left me wondering if Ignition is going downhill and if the anonymous poker table experiment started by Bovada will come to a close. As some of you know i had some success at Bovada before it changed to Ignition and even as Ignition, I saw some small successes early on in a bankroll challenge. But after some recent updates something just doesn't seem right on this poker room anymore.

Has anyone else stopped playing there or considered stopping because of these things:

- Loss of cash game table lists and stats , you simply pick your format and stakes and get seated at a random table.

- When it changed to Ignition, the FPP rate was reduced. And while they never had rakeback, the lack of any type of rewards besides some tickets points makes me wonder if I should stick to sites I have rakeback deals on.

- No more deposit bonuses cleared by poker playing.

- Loss of DON and Triple Up SNGs

- Increased connection issues leading to loss of seats at tables, loss of entire tables, delays of up to 15-20 seconds before river card falls, auto folding of hands, etc. Seems to happen most often in cash games.

- Noticable decrease in amount of tourneys, the gtd amts, and number of players playing them. Still the best/highest gtds for US facing sites but seems like a lot of nightly tournaments have vanished, more small ones cancelled due to lack of players, higher buy ins for the lower gtd amounts.

- And this last one is very subjective, but for past month or so I've noticed a distinct change in the player base. Site has always been loose and fishy, but seeing a lot of players shoving pre with junk and flopping massively, seen a lot of players chasing or even shoving their 2-4% outers and getting there very often. Obviously it's poker and things happen, but the amount of sick beats in past month there have been a little excessive. It concerns me a bit since there's no user names and collusion has always been a concern at this site.

So what are people's thoughts?

I've considered keeping my account open and just using it for MTTs since they still offer great prize pools and none of that excessive late reg or unlimited rebuy stuff even if the buy ins are increasing while the prizes decrease). But at same time I've become more concerned about decreases in traffic, the still anonymous user base and lack of seeing active cash games, the loss of table selection, and loss of formats.

To clarify to decrease in MTTs, my primary concern is them decreasing amounts while increasing buy ins to cover/address too much overlay which from what I can glean from online searching, is concerning because a drop in traffic means less coverage of guarantees which isn't sustainable long term unless they change the structures and/or reduce prizes.

Yes, I essentially stopped playing there. Took issue with many issues you brought up, including the more recent ones.
I didn't get all of my Bovada money transferred over to Ignition and BOTH sides said I had to talk to the other to get it straightened out. = Ridiculous
Then I was told that I had all these tickets in my account and I'm playing in whatever tournaments with tickets and then blasting off in side games thinking I have all this extra ammunition for later events and after like maybe 2-3 events POOF they were gone. I've only bothered to deposit once, although I have tried plenty of times. It makes no sense to me why I've literally SEEN plenty of others use their cards, but none of mine have ever worked. Okay, I guess you don't want my money.
Plus, you're not giving me any other opportunities to build up a roll to punt off to whomever you'd prefer down the road when there are no public freerolls. I mean, I've always said that ACRap thinking they're doing this HUGE public service with $10 frees no more than every 30 minutes is laughable. The sponsored frees are where the real value lay. Yet, even something as small as this has never been offered by Ignition (as far as I know).
The GUI used for table selection just feels way too video game-esque for me. It's a turn-off. I still have it installed on here, for now, but I've probably logged on there more often to F around with play money in table games (tri-card poker, let it ride, Caribbean poker) which can be slightly entertaining when super bored and watch the completely unrealistic ROI and hourly rates that are suggested when doing this.

i think that this is typical bad player bs. ive been playing there for years and cashing out big, always been payed, always very responsive. I hated the anonymous tables until i realized how much safer it makes the whole things. Ive had plenty of bad beats, but if you play, really play poker. you know that its like that. for months sometimes. until there is a better option, and i dont see anything close. i will stay loyal to the site that has always done right by me.

I always enjoyed playing on Bodog and Bovada. Ignition was supposed to be the same, but the customer service is pretty bad. Last time they updated their software it froze all tables. They admitted it was their fault, but never offered to reimburse me for the buy-Ins. Now I'm seeing ridiculous bad beats. At the low limits almost everyone flops a flush or a set. A friend of mine that used to work for a online site admitted the RNG's are not so random. Now WPT advertises their RNG actually works. That makes sense because they already have your money anyway so their is no reason for them to do that. Is their a better US poker site out there? Bad beats are a part of the game, but in all my years I've never seen it this bad. The best hand should hold up at least occasionally.

I started playing at BetOnline over the weekend. I have to say I'm impressed.
The software seems more stable, the ring games seem to be much better, I got excellent customer support, there is more traffic than Ignition, and not one single tournament vanished due to lack of players. It just seems more like playing real poker to me.
My favorite is the cash games variety. There are always plenty of tables running. Also the last cash game session on Ignition I saw multiple occurrences where at least 2 players would flop a flush or set or straight, etc almost every hand. That seems a little suspicious to me. I played a cash game session at BetOnline, and the suck outs seemed much more reasonable. Like the normal suck outs that are inherent to playing Texas Hold'em. But I've never liked the cash games setup on Ignition anyway.
It was easy to make a deposit using my visa check card with a nice bonus, and a $10,000 new player free roll.
One thing to consider though, most of the tourney's are micro to low limit stakes.
There's not as many higher buy in tournaments offered on weekdays as Ignition offers. But I'm ok with that too. There's no rule that says we can't play on both sites LOL.
Hope this helps.

I left too

I played on Ignition for several months given the rave reviews on the web. However, I have since closed my account and moved to BetOnline. There were many hands I played that just didn't jive. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the flow of the games was just off. On BetOnline there appears to be the usual ebb and flow of poker hands. I'm up some, down some. Have a short win streak, then lose a bit. However, I found that on Ignition, regardless, while I might win a little here an there, there always comes a point where there seems to be an usually high number of bad beats and my balance gets busted.

I don't have any evidence. However, the pattern of play just doesn't jive with that of live poker and what I've experienced on BetOnline.

I left too . . (cont)

That said, I understand that many people love Bovada/Ignition and that the anonymity of it is legit. I'd like to give them another try, perhaps through Bovada, since I would rather not get involved with HUDs if I don't have too.

I would appreciate anyone who has had positive experiences with Bovada/Ignition.

Bovada/Insignia

I didnt have much time to find where to post this possible overlay...but here it is...for the past 5 or 6 weeks Bovada/Insignia has had a 50 seat qualifier for a seat to the Sunday 100k game for a total of $19.80...winners get a ticket valued at $165....this game has never filled...got up to 46 players once...but not enough...minimum required is only 51! Take a look at this tonight....if 51 is hit or even a few more...it's almost like a lock ticket.....ty.

Have noticed much of that described in Post#1. I joined in Aug 2017. They cheated me on the advertised bonus by depositing it all in the Casino. My poker play did not clear any of it and they would not correct it to match their ads. I made one deposit and swore after that was gone I would never deposit there again.

Lot of negative feedback I agree with. Customer service sucks. I really like the anonymous tables and no HUD's. Not much else. I have not logged in for 2 months. Kinda says it all.

They have canceled their one monthly freeroll and tightened up the purse strings in other ways leading one to believe they have a cash flow problem. I hope someone takes the site over that understands poker.

God bless.

Is it a special RNG where the lower % hand when chips goes in.. wins? Or the best hand never holds lets give those bad players a chance to win RNG? (but how do they decide who is the bad player?) How does it decide to let the worst hand win? It's very puzzling to me.

I was thinking of playing on there again occasionally. I was surprised when I logged in the other day to see I still have money in my account & hadn't logged in for a couple years.
I'm saddened to hear it's not as popular as it once was.

This site is not being run by a "poker" group. I have my own suspicions as to why the site even exists. My own experience has been a total misappropriation of promised bonuses and a total lack of concern by the customer service section. I do not even receive ads of any kind from them.

Anyone know where one could go if they had piles of cash that could use a good wash??? They don't even pretend to be a legitimate online poker site. My one wish is that someone would take it over that IS grounded in the game and its players. Guess that is not happening as long as the "real" owners are kept happy.

Sucking it up and moving on; months ago.
