There have been threads on here before with people against tracking software and alot that for it. What would the reaction be if it became the norm for all sites to adopt this on all tables.

No Notes or any stats at all?????? on possibly all tables for cash and tournaments. Would it make it a more of a level playing field especially if the datamining sites couldnt mine date either

Perhaps they have too much information on your playing style? Well, not anymore...

Exclusively for Ladbrokes customers and a first in the online poker world we have a new feature we know you will love – Anonymous tables...
Forget about any history players may have on you and focus on the present - play on the Anonymous tables and bring back the fun into playing poker.
What’s the idea then?

Your alias and avatar will be shown only to you and not to the other players at the table. If another player has tagged your alias or made notes on you they will be unable to view them. All players seated will be given an anonymous alias.
How can I find an Anonymous table?

Look for the tables in the lobby that have the icon displaying an ‘A’ next to the table identifying it as an Anonymous table.
How will I know where I’m sitting?

Your alias and avatar will be visible only to you.
Can poker tracking software track my real alias to the Anonymous table?

No, the tracking software will not associate your play on the Anonymous tables with your real alias.
Will the Poker Manager still see the real aliases?

Yes, Network monitoring teams will still have access to player’s real information.
What are you waiting for? Enhance your online poker experience on our new anonymous tables.
*Subject to patent protection

Colluders everywhere rejoice!

does say patent pending and that was one of first thoughts I had when I read it. ALthough I'm sure or would hope they have thought of it and Dont the main sites have software to detect that kind of thing.

It does mention that Poker Manager has access to hands etc

Will the Poker Manager still see the real aliases?

Yes, Network monitoring teams will still have access to player’s real information.

LOL.

Probably better for me as I dont have any Tracking Software and assuming you'll be able to get general reads whilst they are sat at your table.

Suppose similar to Rush poker when it started and play ABC poker:eek:

Sounds interesting for a change of pace but the idea of poker is to have an edge on your opponents. If this is through software or through mental notes it is this ability that will help players win more in the end.

I am for tracking software but I think the data mining sites have gone too far. If you weren't at the table when the hand was played then it i cheating to have this information in my opinion.

Before Poker Trackers etc. players used to manually take notes...way before my poker time...

Cake network also already allows you to change your name on a weekly basis ...I guess to hide from the sharks.

What Hillbilly said... would worry me the potential of collusion could be big.

Cake also don't allow HUDs. I found this out the other day when I fired it up.

Do you stay at the same table with the same players though, so you get your own reads from the play? I'm assuming so, otherwise it's just Rush Poker.

I dunno; for some reason this conjures up images of private movie viewing rooms in the back of adult magazine stores .... not that I'd know about such things.
