re: Poker & The announce of a new legal poker-site entering the US market
I'm going to keep an eye on this. I don't get some of the comments on that site (granted, there are only a total of 3) complaining of the $20/month subscription fee in place of rake. If it's going to have a large player base, a wide variety of games, and plenty of them running at any given time, it will be worth it. I pay way more than $20 in rake in a typical month even with rakeback.
Edit: Oh, I just did a bit of reading, and it seems I misunderstood how subscription-based poker sites
work. Apparently, you pay a fee instead of depositing money, and more or less wind up playing with play money for a chance to win some cash prizes??? Wait, what, NVM, I guess I'm not holding my breath for this to be a viable replacement for Stars/FT.
