I am relatively new to ACR but it seems like many of the micro MTT's with guaranteed prize pools end up with 10-25% overlays. Normally I would be thrilled but it also makes me nervous to deposit (I am playing micro's w/ freeroll winnings as I am having a hard time depositing) as I know they are fairly new and I have a hard time believing that with all of the freerolls, gtd's that have overlays etc. that they are making any/enough money. I don't see a huge amount of traffic and I know I've only been here for a couple weeks but it seems to be shrinking and not gaining. Of course this is just my anecdotal experience so that is why I'm asking for others' opinions/experiences.

I guess my questions are:
Is ACR going to make it? Are they growing? Is it worth breaking my balls to find a deposit method? Am I missing something in regard to the higher limit/buy-in games?

I do like the site and it's promotions and freerolls but it just doesn't seem like it has the higher stakes traffic and I like PLOH too and they don't have many of those games either.

Any opinions?

Ok. I'm playing in the $50+5 Beast & SNC wsop tournament on ACR and it guarantees 3 $10,000 WSOP seats plus $2500 in cash and the prize pool only got to $24,000. How can they have a $13,500 overlay and stay in business? The irony is that I won my in through freerolls so I didn't pay either. I'm confused....

I've thought along those lines many times. And I don't see how they can do it either. I used to not play in MTT that I felt would not cover.

I am a huge pessimist when it comes to ACR. I hate their site, software, and frankly believe its not legit.

I also agree with you in terms of the overlays. Cash games TO ME have always seemed fixed. Just my opinion.

If youre able to play on Bovada, id just play there.

try the 50 cent games for low cost, and good payout if you finish 1-10 for the money

Dude did you just miss the $1000 to $25000 freerolls they were having? They're rolling in it.

I could easily be wrong, but it seems online poker is down everywhere and I would be reluctant to deposit anywhere right now.

We do have some overlays in tournaments as every other site. If i were you i wouldn't stress about a play them as they are better value for your money.

Don't worry guys I've played on ACR for the last 3 years now and I've gotten paid many times quickly. You don't have to worry about not getting paid and like the Rep mentioned overlays are the best tournaments to play in assuming your bankroll can support the buyin.

I've always continued to play on ACR, been on there for several years...but I have to admit I get a little worried about their solvency when I see consistent overlays in all of their big tourneys. Regardless, I still think they are the best US option and my brother and I have both cashed out on multiple occasions.

An overlay is nothing to worry about if the money stays on the site. Go follow some of the players who cash big in these overlay tournaments. Many of them seem to be big gamblers at regular tables so ACR gets back a lot of it through the rake over time.

Hi,

correct we have no overlays on our tournaments, in fact we are working on our schedule in order to offer better and bigger tournaments, for example: Gone in 60 minutes: forget about waiting 3 hours for late registration to close. With Gone in 60 Minutes Tournaments, late registration closes in just 60 minutes. That means fewer shots at re-entries and more thrills for diehard players.

I hope most MTT's you guys offer will be like this. Obviously, the $1 million can't be like that along with some other bigger ones, but myself and a lot of others really like there being less late reg time.

Yeah I wish you guys really didn't have three hours of late registration on the requirements and I'm sure I'm not alone on that.

Yea, i hope the 60 minutes late registration is a hit and profitable. I think many players are happy about this.

I didn't look back in this or other threads, but I saw that exact, simple statement elsewhere. Im in mobile now, and can't see your post count, or nearly anything for that matter, but I was wondering --r u the copy paste bandit. I've seen a couple of instances of that lately.
