All,
I am not sure what the rules are here. I have tried to do my best to understand. Please forgive me. I am genuinely looking for information.
TL;DR - Is Americas card room secure and does it protect your Social Security Number?
I want to deposit fiat currency into Americas Card Room. Like many sites, they ask me for my last 4 digits of my Social Security Number.
That sad part:
If I know your last 4 digits, all I need to know is where you are born. Per the Gov:
The first three (3) digits of a person's social security number are determined by the ZIP Code of the mailing address shown on the application for a social security number"
Many sites default the security password to where I was born. Your mailing address where you are born is your zip code of the address of your parents.
I leave that as an exercise for those interested to determine what the last 2 digits are. As we all know the combinations - There are only 99 numbers left to determine your SSN number.
Too boot - The Gov uses a very simply algorithm to determine those digits. It is easy to reverse engineer.
So, my question: Is it OK or SAFE to provide my last 4 digits to Americans Card room?
