i'm glad to see someone created this thread as i was just about to. after having issues with 888
refusing to verify my identity, i just talked to a rep a few minutes ago only to find out that only NJ residents can play. as popular as it seems to be here, i can't believe so many members here live in NJ. i wouldn't have expected a majority to live outside the US either.
i'm TRYING to find a couple alternate sites to play freerolls
at besides america's cardroom. the two issues i have with that site are the long waits for new freerolls to pop up without a schedule to go by and the fact that they're only $10 games which payoff only $2.50 if you win and only pay 10 spots making them a lot of work for little payoff or chance of one.
i started at betonline
which has a lot of bigger freerolls that pay up to 40 spots, but stopped playing after reading so many horror stories about them stealing winnings or refusing to pay without deposits, so why waste time freerolling at a site that will refuse to pay you off when you parlay your winnings into something worth withdrawing?
tiger seems to be a popular site, but i never played there after getting the "go away americans!" popup after registering.
i also registered at high rated bovada
who LIES about having freerolls. they don't, no matter what their promotional pages say... another waste of time!
so, are there any OTHER sites that have freerolls, don't rip their players off, and that allow the ENTIRE united states to play? is america's cardroom the ONLY option?
BTW, i'll like ACR a lot more in another week or so when i can finally start playing cardschat freerolls for worthy stakes. i also get passwords from jackpot poker for their freerolls, but those are mostly in the daytime when i don't play and aren't that frequent.
it's really bogus that the government stepped in to protect the interest of las vegas and atlantic city in destroying online poker.
