An American looking for a new start

Hello all! As you may have noticed, I have started to become active here again, and plan to continue to be for a very long time!

I've been away from poker for a few years until Bovada sucked me in earlier this summer by giving me $50 for no reason. Not caring about nursing a roll, I ignored BRM and just played for fun. I had a bit of success in MTT's and forgot how much I enjoyed NL tourneys (I actually moved to FL about a year before I quit poker altogether). Like I said though, I wasn't exactly following proper BR management.

Turns out I'm not really a fan of Bovada's software. I can't stand the anonymity. I would like to get back to using a HUD and PT. I feel like my poker skills are better than ever, and would love to see some stats to back it up. I want to nurse a roll again. So now I have to find somewhere to play! I was looking at the staking forum, and as much as I'd love to be involved in a stake, I don't feel comfortable asking without establishing a presence on a new site.

I'm currently stuck with a mac, so for now, Winning Poker Network is out of the question, which is a real shame because ACR and BC sound pretty neat. So it's looking like Carbon is the favorite.

Anyone have any other suggestions? It looks like Carbon's rake is a little high for micros (I'll be starting at 5nl and cheap sng's, as well as low fixed limit games), and I think the best rakeback deal I've found is at 27%, which seemed to have strings attached.

Carbon and Merge network is fine. I think this room is the best for US players. Moreover CC has freerolls in that room.

I thought every poker site was legal in states nowadays... isn't that so?

I'll eventually have accounts at all of them, I'm just not sure where I should concentrate :/ I have a PC that I was recently given but I think it needs a new power supply, so I won't be able to use WPN for a while. But if WPN is the way to go, I can wait for my initial deposit.

Deposit anywhere except Lock and you should be okay.

Carbon is fun and I like Black Chip for their tournaments. Black Chip has ridiculous rake though so not that great for cash games.
