Am i aloud to Give away WPT seat?

Hey all, lets say i win a WPT seat online. Can i give this package away to a friend who's better playing live tournaments? Or do i have to play the WPT if i won a package on my poker account?

Would have to play it yourself as far as I know but only from experience with stars when I won entry to an event.

If you won a 2nd entry however you would get the T$ for it.

Same thing, it was a package for a live tournament in my case as well. I had inquired to stars at the time if was able to take T$ instead or sell to someone else but it was linked to my name only and couldn't be sold.

If you want to be 100% sure contact support of the poker site, I'd be almost certain it would be the same thing.

I think that it depends on the poker site that you win it at.
A friend of mine won one a while ago and was allowed to either transfer it to another person or take the cash equivalent. He opted for the cash. I think he got around 10K and it was a freeroll that he won it in.
I am still waiting for my turn but it is as likely to come for me as getting struck by lightning.

Depending on the site, its usually you have to play. You could always email and ask if you could get a cash prize to make up for it.
