I have been away from online poker for a while, and have been trying to get back into it. I cannot find a website that has people on it. I tried Bovada and Carbon, both sites are like a ghost town.

With poker stars and full tilt we used to be able to register to sit in gos all day and the 180ppl ones would fill up rather quickly. Are those days gone or am I just looking in the wrong places?

Bovada would seem to be the fastest in my opinion from all the current US site, but they're nowhere near pokerstar and fulltilt. Also only 1 table.

Ok. So from what I hear the Merge sites soon will be rid og higher stake tables. Is Bovada the only good site? I read some reviews about them scamming people.

you mean multi-table SNG? yeah hard to find tables....

due to the small fields of player...so, it makes very hard to get 180 player SNG starts...

I'm reluctant to believe your Merge information because:

1) they haven't told me that and I talk to operators there often
2) Bovada does not scam people. They are a 15+ year old sportsbook that pays quickly and has a solid reputation.

I have been away from online poker for a while, and have been trying to get back into it. I cannot find a website that has people on it. I tried Bovada and Carbon, both sites are like a ghost town.

No US site has 180mans. They simply dont have the liquidity for this. For HU, 6max, and 9man SNGs, Bovada and Merge are the best choices. HUSNG go to Revolution (but avoid the network cashier Lock, JS, Cake). Revolution also has some 6m/FR SNG action also.

think you just have to be willing to play different format games across multiple sites

I noticed that this morning. Put a few bucks into Bovada the other night. It took a while to get a couple 9-handed STT going.

I haven't played online since PS and FT shut down, but I am trying to get back into playing poker regularly after a couple-year hiatus.

You're missing the point. They offer them but it doesn't mean they actually fill up. In the 2 months I've played at carbon I have only had one 180 man fill up and it took all day to get there!

I don't know about Merge, but Bovada SNGs on the $5 and $10 level were "liquid" enough so you could get 4 going within an hour, probably less. A few years ago Merge SNG's on the $10 level were pretty slow to start (with the exception of double or nothings), I don't know how they are now.

Lock/intertops/Revolution also seem slow , but $5 should start pretty good. High level SNGS like $20s and $100s are real slow to start these days.

I have recently stumbled upon the $5.50 9 player Bounty SnG's on Carbon where $2.50 goes to the prize pool and $2.50 goes to whoever knocks you out. I have found a lot of loose play due to the possibility of kicking someone out.

I have no experience of cashing out there though.

I don't understand waiting for a 180man sng to fill up meanwhile there's MTT's with roughly that amount of players in them

I suppose I should have said, 180mans that actually run. As I stated though, there simply isn't enough player liquidity for them in the US market.
