When you have the stone cold nuts on the river do you go all in or push whoever is with you to an all in bet? Or do you do a bet that will leave your opponent say 100 chips knowing that he will call that?

often if i had been beting up to to the river i would push all in this sometimes appears as a bluff.. i wouldnt make a bet to leave them say 1 chip becasue this allways looks like a confident and cocky bet..or id put a weak bet out looking like ur scared of the river card..hopefully aponent will push all in...if all fails just go on gut instinct

Depends on your opponent, his/her actions in THIS hand, their chip stack, and their perception of you. Sorry, it's a bit vague but it is complicated.

Example on the river, i believe my opponent has either a pair of aces or two pairs. I'm holding the nuts (nut flush). She bet the ace on the flop and turn but checked the river which gave me the flush. She's tight. Bet 1/3 pot as i am not going to get more here.

Same example against a looser player, I would put in a little bit more than the minimum raise, looking for them to suspect that I do not have the flush and to push. Then I re-raise.

If I have been playing loose all game, then I would continue to play loose and go AI. If not, I would only push the pot to what I thought I could get called back.
It depends a lot on how others are playing at the time, for me.
But, likely I would have gone AI.

Depends on the Image I have at the table, If I'm LAG at this time I'll push, but If I'm in TAG mode I'll make a bet villian will call if not raise

Min bet, several reasons.
You cant loose, but maybe more important is that this is one of those hands when I would want to showdown. I would want the table to see I value bet, I want to show my cards without bragging. Implications outweigh the push value. Min bet might get the call, who knows, maybe opp freaks and bluffs.

Check would most likely get checked and you get the showdown anyway, but not under the better circumstances of the value bet.

IMHO

i think the point about checked would get checked, because if ur calling the whole way then a check would look just like ur train calling, but if ur betting then check this is quite an obvious move in some cases and used for a possible 2 reason's personally i wouldnt often bet against some on the river when flush is out

OK... so I can grasp this in my undersized brain.

It depends on a lot of factors. One being, how deep into the game you are, another, how loosely the general play has been (or tight), and how loose or tight your history in the game has been. But, more times than not a good safe minimum bet should produce a call/raise from your opponant(s) and maximize your take while reducing the chance you will scare off bets.

Close?
