Well im posting i hand that happen to me today. i was playing a sattelite to 750,000$ on FTP. Blinds were 150/300 , the player UTG who was shorstacked with 1200 chips moves ALL IN. Im in 3rd position, I have AJoff, I called his raise, i had 4300 chips. The guy on the SB moves All in for 3000 chips , the BB folded, action back to me , i had to call 1500 more into a 6600 pot. So i called , the SB turned K2 Spades, and the UTG player shows KToff. FLOP - KQ4 Turn - 8 - River 6. I lost the pot ended up with 800 chips. My question is : What did i do wrong ????

I´ll Apreciate any comments on my play. TXS

AJ os is not that strong. Fold at the All-in would have been the best bet here.

calling the allin with A J off suit

well, i try to avoid all in preflops unless i am really strong...AA, KK, AK or AQ.
pocket queens are acceptable too, if you know you can survive the hit if you lose. at best, the call you made was 50/50...and at worst he had solid pocket cards. I often make preflop bets...but if someone goes over the top, i am not married to it if i dont think my hand is that strong. best bet...just fold, you havent lost anything, and wait for a better spot. also, your position was very vulnerable..good luck in the future

I realise that A-J is considered a Marginal hand and having 3 players in the action is even worse for odds...Not suggesting that You Play them Like that again, But this happened to me with a reverse outcome than yours..and in the late stages of the event and I was getting Short-stacked.

My mistake was Re-Raising rather than calling his initial raise (8K). My hope was to get him to fold to my 32K Re-Raise. To no avail.
K-K seems to draw Aces for some reason.
