I'm sure the bitcoin site Betcoin Poker means well, but I would advise staying away from them unless ownership changes...they are quite inept at fixing issues. They blame the problems on the Winning Poker Network, but I'm pretty sure the problem is within their own house. I lost over half my bitcoin today because they don't refund buyins when a tourney cancels.

They had a major server upgrade over the weekend, then boasted that all the issues were fixed. This issue of not returning buyins from cancelled tourneys has been going on for weeks. All the other sites on the WPN immediately and automatically return buyins from cancelled tourneys, but not Betcoin Poker.

There have been many other complaints about these guys that run this site. They could be a little like that geek that ran Mt. Gox, the biggest bitcoin exchange around until the so-called hacking which brought them down.

Thanks for the advise, I was thinking about starting an account there for a while. Now I have a reason not to add another poker site.

I changed my mind, I'm highly impressed with Betcoin Poker. They admitted the error, promptly returned the lost bitcoin to my account, and claimed that the WPN is working diligently on the problem. While this last part may not be true (WPN working on the problem), I'm very happy that, unlike most other poker sites I have dealt with, this one came through and made up for the error right away.

If you do decide to give this site a try, just remember to unregister from any tourney that is about to cancel for lack of players.

I've had the same issue with buy-in's not being returned. The first time it happened they promptly credited me. It recently happened again and I've emailed them multiple times and now they won't even respond. Live support is never online during their normal hours. Their support is the worst I've experienced from any poker site. Stay away.
