ACR giving BOT refunds

Received an email just a few hours ago stating ACR has credited my account. Apparently, 30 accounts have been banned due to "BOT" activity. Personally, I feel there are a HELL of a lot more BOTs on the site than that. Who knows.....

Today, the WPN Security and Integrity team banned 30 total accounts that were under investigation for suspicious Bot activity. Refunds were then issued to all the affected players.

Well, if you assume that their bot detection techniques are NOT perfect then there are definitely more bots still out there waiting to be detected. Kinda like insects....if you see one then there's ten more you don't see.

But I am sooo impressed that ACR is doing this. Keep up the good work!

Regardless, it's nice that ACR ponied up refunds to the affected accounts. I knew I was playing bots here and there and everywhere but as long as I don't need to give back any of the money I won against them I'm good with that.

They started banning bots on April 11th. Then their CEO went on to Joe Ingram's pod cast to basically beg people to keep playing.

I was just giving you a hard time - no offense was meant....

This is great news, but I'm still wondering when pokerstars will start fighting with bots !!! sure if they were on the ACR then at PokerStars they are also apparently present)))

Received my second bot refund in the last couple weeks today. Seems like a good thing ACR is doing this even though it only amounted to a couple of bucks for me.

Bravo ACR. Impressed with the work of this site. At least some work has been done in the interests of the players.
Equally impressive are your poker limits.

30 more banned is 30 less in the game and is more money in our pocket! It's not that so easy to officially ban an account for "botting"... accusing someone can bring serious judicial proceedings. It's not just a terms and conditions violation thing in some cases.



Eliminating bots will probably be impossible.. I mean, internet is a bot itself.. a big giant bot receiving/executing commands and returning responses to other bots receiveing/excuting commands and returning responses... but controle damage is always possible and it's now a more then a full time job for anyone running a poker site.

One thing for sure, bots exist because informations to create and run them are accessible.. looking at this can also be a good thing!

Recently, the party's poker site conducted a large test of players and sent compensation to those who suffered from an unfair game of bots! I think that such checks should be carried out very often! because in the modern world of high technology it is not so difficult to create a poker bot, but we all want to play against people and not against the machine! otherwise we would play at the casino and not poker)

Yeah I was really surprised to see that happen. Happily surprised. THANK YOU ACR for the pay back and attempt to keep poker "clean".

I recieved about 7 bucks on BCP yesterday

Well, ACR did it again. They provided refunds for found bots on their site. Its' unreal that in a lot of cases they only provided a refund of 25% of your loses. That site is filled with BOTS. They need tighter security. It's getting old. Does anyone know any other US sites that are trusted? I'm getting sick of not being able to trust this network.
