hello friends.
my father and i have diffrent accounts on pokerstars.
we live on the same house and play from the same computer.
we never played at the same time!

few weeks ago both of our accounts been blocked and after few email the last decision of pokerstars security is that the two account are block for 6 months.
by them, the reason is that we did late registration for some tornaments.
i'm saying again that we never played at the same time in any tornamnt.

my question is if anyone knows what the policy about the money which have been on this accounts.
had there 5700$ which i bought and transferd there from another player few days before they blocked the account.

wait for some help
thanks!!!

Back when PokerStars had US players, my brother came over a few times and we entered the same tournament. So both playing on the same network. We played on the same table for a bit. It was never a problem. I had to play for him while he was driving home once, which meant logging in as him on my computer. No problems.

Six months sounds a bit harsh when they can't even point to anything suspicious. Registering late? That's nothing.

Wow, six months off stars. I cant imagine such torture. Hang in there buddy.

@ OP. It is highly unlikely that pokerstars would do something like that without any evidence of foul play.

You were lucky that Stars didn't notice, just hope they never do an audit of your account.

Pokerstars might suspecting you having multi-account and they are prohibiting it. Im not sure of there exact rules and regulations. One technique I guess is your cookies and ip address.
I have a friend who has many friends and they are buying/selling money getting commission' by money transfer to another player. I suspect they might also using/sharing ones account. Pokerstars noticed it since they are using computers on the same area-ip address. My friend told me, Pokerstars not only ban him but also got his BR as well.

I would def. fight that. That is pretty ridiculous, especially if you have never played in the same tournament.

I am sure they will lift that, unless there is something we don't know about.

very sad to be out of ps for so long, but something should be missed here since late registration is not against the policies, actually if so, ps had not allowed it at all, which is not the case

Are you sure that you didn't bust out of a tournament and then your dad logged in and got into that same tourney(late registration)?? This may have peaked their suspicions as the same ip address registering multiple times in a tourney with different accounts.

I agree sir. Thats what also came into my mind. If youre dad was next in playing, then you didnt commit any wrongdoings. They suspect however that youre the one using your dads account since the same workstation, same ip ad.

Get in contact with pokerstars.
And try to talk it out with them and explain to them about the accounts. Maybe they'll work something out.

That's a bit harsh. And a bit unlucky for all those funds to be gone (for now). You can ask them their reasons in detail and ask for some examples. But try not to give up and maybe ask for a review on their decision. Good luck, and I hope you get your money back and your account.

It sounds like you didn't play at the same time because you were using his account to enter MTTs after you had already busted out. Basically making the tourney a reentry. I may be wrong but this just seems to make since due to your explanation and 6 month suspension.

Have you and your father both verified your accounts? As in sent in copies of your identification and utility bills and copies of CC if you made deposits?

I would contact PS from your email account and provide them with your documentation (if you haven't already done so) and explain to them that you play from the same computer. And (if true) have never played in the same game. And have your father do the same.

Or even ask them to provide you with the tournament number for the game(s) that you supposedly played together in, to acquire this ban. Best of luck in getting your accounts reinstated.

Two accounts, same IP, same address? I don't blame them.

Are they tied to the same bank account as well?

There is a loyaler that used to play at Stars from the same address and same IP, same tourney as her husband, another CCer and I remember her saying that Stars new about it and it was ok with them.

There's got to be more to it.
