Just an update on my situation, which is pretty much the same as Warriors....
I have had contact with Carbon, but it has been completely useless.
They send me the same "Form" emails with the exact same messages each time.
One says, (Received this one 4 times now)
"Our fraud management team has flagged your account for security reasons and terminated your account access permanently. As a result, we are unable to re-activate your account under any circumstances, though an email will be sent to you should there be any changes to this."
Another says,
"Please be informed that your account has been found in connection with payment fraud and thus will not be reopened or any fraudulently funds returned."
The most recent says,
"I apologize but your account has been banned and cannot be re-activated because of chargebacks."
What the heck is a "Chargeback"?
I have been very polite in my replies and just want this resolved. I have done nothing wrong and just want to talk to them in person to see what is going on. If there is a problem with my Credit Card, I want to know because it may have been compromised and I might need to do something for myself.
I have around $800 in my account that they appear to be trying to keep. I've involved my bank and they are looking into it because as they say, it looks like "Fraud' on Carbon's side. I have the Bank Statement up on my screen showing the deposit at Carbon, so I have no idea what grounds they can claim Fraud.
Not a brag, but I work in the Alberta Oil Sands and make a very comfortable living, so I have absolutely no reason to cheat or pull off fraud.
I've only been at Carbon for two and a half weeks and have only played about 6 sessions. I've made no transfers and didn't use any software, etc, so I am really confused as what they are claiming as fraud. If there was a problem with my method of payment, they should have caught it when I made the deposit. If something has happened since by a third party, I need to know about it.
I'm not going to slander them because I know I've done nothing wrong and they've made an error, but if I don't get details from them so I can look into it or explain my side, I am at a loss as to what to do. My patience is wearing thin.
I've also involved an online Casino Investigation company and it appears that there are a number of people going through this.
I only signed up at Carbon for the Bonus and Rakeback on Feb 11, 2009 and once this gets resolved one way or another, I will not be testing out the "New" sites in the future.
Seven years of playing online with multiple Deposits, Cashouts and Transfers with no problems.....Until now.
I hope to get this resolved, but it appears that We really don't have a leg to stand on if a Poker Room decides to keep our money.
