tilts. are you on one? ways to get out...........

1.if your in a tilt take your mind of poker even if its 30 seconds in la la land at a poker table.

2.saying nh can prevent you from gettin on a tilt.

3.take a three day break from poker (possibly more)

if on a tilt never let it get to you the other players will know and can get under your skin you should do the same to them.

The money you lost is money gone, don't try and get it back by playing poorly!

Dooky is exactly right. You simply must not throw good money after bad. Don't lose your whole bankroll because you took a few bad beats and want to bust the guy that gave them to you.

HI - If it takes you 3 days to get over a "tilt" - you've got problems. You should be over it by at least the next hand after. If you get a bad beat - just conciously say to yourself, "I'm not betting next hand." - and do it.

Just take a deep breath and count to ten when you get a bad beat. Hard as it may sound pretend it never happened and concentrate on the next hand. That always works for me. I can never say nh, if I had the better hand and get rivered especially by rags, so i just keep quiet. 3 days is abit too long dont ya think? Fair enough everyone needs different amount of time to cool off but 3 days?

Devil - Your post made me think about my play ... I can't remember my two hole cards right after I fold ... so I guess that's good in the bad beat situation. Short term memory loss is good sometimes. LOL
