888 Double or Nothing Format

I'm a big, big fan of DoN SNGs, and I really like 888. However their format for these tournaments is awful. 500 starting chips and blinds go up every 2 minutes. That takes all the skill out of it. You end up being forced to go all in with mediocre hands. I like the way partypoker has it set up. 1500 starting chips and blinds go up ever 4 minutes. So much better. Actually allows you to play and not just shove. Hell, I'd even be happy if 888 changed it to 1000 starting chips and blinds every 4 minutes.

What do you guys think? Do you like DoN SNGs? Do you like 888s format? If not, what suggestions do you have to improve them?

I've never tryied that, however per what you said, it seems a lot with PS 2 cents hyperturbo..

It's lottery to me anyway, blinds every 4 mins makes you play every 4 - 6 hands, which can be a disaster..

I agree that the structure for Double or Nothing Sit n Gos at 888 Poker is bad.But,it's the same situation at some other online poker rooms,unfortunately.

Not really. The ones at PartyPoker are great. 1500 starting stack and blinds go up every 4 minutes. Very playable format and a great way to build a bankroll.

I like to play Double or Nothing. I have won there 100$ at 888 poker, but it was when the structure was another, I have played them fro 1$ to 100$. But what I haven`t liked is that I loose in an instant about 50$.
Now I have won sometimes and not so often loose them but I don`t play them so thight since the 500 starting chips.

Agreed that the starting stack size and blind levels are not too playable, well i guess the name sake says it all, it's double or nothing so kinda playing to the mindset of luck over skill.....gambler's trait?

They made the change into hyper format in early 2015 if i could remember.The structures was playable before the changes.
